I wish i could give them less then one star to be honest. What makes it so bad is i didnt even get to see the doctor, all i did was call to make an appointment for a new contact exam because i am out. The receptionist was so rude and very unhelpful. On there website they state that they accept VSP insurance and i should just call and ask whatever questions that i had, so i did. They lady on the phone was short, unhelpful and slightly condescending. Right off the bat she tells me that they charge an additional $90 dollars for an exam, i say okay isnt that covered by my insurance, i was confused lol. she places me on hold. mind you the first time she tells me no then i read her what my insurance says it covers, she places me on hold. Comes back and tells me that it is covered but that it would only leave me with 50 to spend on contacts. Mind you i also get a 15% discount on my contacts so i ask about that she says oh yeah that included in the price i just gave you which makes no sense because anywhere else i have went i go in do my exam and end up paying maybe 15 or 20 dollars when i pick up my contact for my copay. So this to me is unheard of. I ask her is she sure, she lets out a sighing sound like Im wasting her time and says yes. I would suggest spending your money else where. I mean i was pretty much giving them free guaranteed money and this is how they treat new customers. J* Anne J. 2 weeks ago If you do not wish to conduct business with Dr. Schloss office, then that is your prerogative, obviously. However, I cannot figure out why you would be so judgemental and downright insulting if you are not a patient of the doctor and have made it your determination never to be one, either. What exactly is the point, if you are not a patient and have never conducted a financial transaction with the office. If you decline to pay 90.00 for an examination, then that is your personal business, not an affair for the entire world to read about. As a life long friend, and 35 year patient of the doctor and co worker, I am personally horrified by your review of Dr. Schloss office. You need to take responsibility for spewing such vile insolence and casting such dire aspersions on the Internet. The real crime is that you can be blasphemous while masquerading as anonymous individual. You utilize your anonymity as a mask to cover your cowardice. You should be ashamed.

I have been going to see Dr. Schloss since I needed my first pair of glasses in Middle School (I am now a College Graduate, to give you a time frame). He has always been very kind and helpful in every way and the other people who work there are always very friendly and helpful, both with finding frames and helping figure out finances. They might not be as $$$ friendly as someplace in Walmart or other "bargin" place, but its worth it to go to a place where the people remember you and help you out in the ways that they can.

The best eye doctor Ive ever been to. Have had three eye exams and purchased three pair of glasses over a five year period. Staff is very helpful. Im diabetic and he pays close attention to my eyes. Complete satisfaction!!!

Went in for contacts and an eye exam. Dr Schloss was friendly, as was his staff. Left in 45 minutes with starter pair of contacts and an appointment for the following week.
