I came to this eye clinic today to have the doctor look at my eye for conjunctivitis (pink eye). I was not pleased at all. First of all, the doctor came in, introduced himself, then right away tells me to look down at the ground. While I was looking down, he swabbed the top of my eye. I had no idea what was going on. Right after that, he got the light to shine in both of my eyes and then starts writing something down on his sheet of paper. I was still confused as to what he put in my eyes before! I asked him if he was writing me an antibiotic for my prescription and he said yes it will clear it right up. It was as though he did not want to talk to me at all. I know he just wanted me in and out, but I wanted to talk to him since this is my third time having pink eye in a month. I left the room feeling so frustrated because he would not listen to me at all. I know this place has tons of great ratings, but this was my experience.

Zero stars. This doctor is terrible. Uses his hands which he does not wash in front of you to take your contacts out and put them back in. And there is no warning that this will be done. Just reaches right in your eye after touching all the machines and computer and no washing his hands. This is very disgusting. The office staff was friendly but knew nothing about billing. When calling to make my first appointment they told me my insurance covered an exam. I told them i needed contacts and they said the exam is covered but contacts are $27 a box. At check out they tell me I owe $80 for the exam. Which over the phone I was told it was covered. They refused to give me my prescription until I paid the $80 that was supposed to be covered according to their staff. I could have had a better experience and no hidden charges at an Eye Mart.

This was my first visit to Oakwood Eye Clinic. I was looking for a place that was more peaceful than some of the larger facilities that I have been to. The last place I went to was quite modern but I was one of at least 100 patients that flowed through during my visit. I also spent a very long time there. I was attended to the moment I walked in the door at Oakwood Eye Clinic and my exam began shortly thereafter. Dr. Studebaker was quite pleasant and I like the idea that he has roots in the community which means I am no longer dealing with a host of "revolving" physicians like I have experienced in the recent past. He actually said, "see you next year" as we finished with my exam. I like the idea that I will be seeing one doctor, the same doctor, each year.

I have been a patient of the Oakwood Eye Clinic for some time, and have always been very satisfied with the eye examinations and with the suggestions they offer for helping to take care of my eyes and support my vision. I stopped by today because of a problem with ordering a medication I have been using for some time. The lady who assisted me, whom I believe is the office manager, was extraordinarily helpful. She really went above and beyond what anyone could expect. I was very impressed with their professionalism and concern for patients. All I can say is that this is a truly extraordinary professional office and I think you will agree if and when you visit them.

My first couple experiences were good (aside from Dr Studebaker putting contacts in for me without warning). And I was planning to go back again this year. Then 8 months after my visit, I got a bill in the mail with no explanation as to why. I called and after pushing a bit about the delay, I was told the previous billing person didnt do her job. Sent a letter, with my payment, stating my frustration and was called by Dr Studebaker who was flabbergasted that I could be annoyed by a 8 month late bill. He told me that the delay didnt change what I owed and that I should be happy I got to keep my money for an extra 8 months. I do not intend to go back.

I love the staff, they are amazing. However I do not like it when Dr. Studebaker takes my contacts out for me. I have been going here for a couple of years now and I do like how well the doctor fits me for the contacts and glasses. I have said to one of his staff members that I do not like it when he takes out my contacts and they told me that he will take them out whether you want him to or not. I will keep going back because for me its about the office staff since you have more face to face time with them. I do think the doctor should give people the option to take their contacts out on their own or not.

The superb professionalism of Dr. Studebakers team continues. Beginning with the notification & reminder of the appointment, to the early testing and scanning, and then the exam and prescription from Dr. Studebaker, it is all seamless, painless, comfortable. The new prescription glasses arrive in record time (one was back in three days) and the magnification is spot on. I recommend this office, its talented personnel and Doc Studebaker to all who read this modest write up.

I love Oakwood Eye Clinic... The location is convenient... only 5 minutes from my home...The Doctor and the staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable... I brought my three children and Dr. was very patient with us. The eyeglasses they have are stylish and unique frames I had not seen before in my shopping around.
