I brought my rescue dog in because he lost pigment in his nose, eye rims and lips and suspected he might have VKH. They recommended we do a biopsy, which was costly, and (we later found out) known to be inconclusive in differentiating between several similar autoimmune diseases (the reason we did the biospy). They then proceeded to put him on 80mg/day of prednisone, dropping it to 40mg/day after 4 weeks. This was a HUGE dose. We informed the vet that our dog was displaying unsuitable side effects from the prednisone (food obsession/aggression, depression, excessive thirst and urination) to which he responded "Thats not the prednisone, thats just him adjusting to his new home." ALL of the side effects Cooper displayed are known to be caused by prednisone. We dropped his dose against vet. orders and saw immediate improvement in all areas. We then proceeded with a more holistic approach and saw similar improvements in his DLE with no side effects. They never mentioned a single alternative to prednisone. Cooper later had to be euthanized and we decided to go back to them because even they couldnt screw that up...we were wrong. They attempted the procedure without sedating him first. Drugs used to euthanize are known to cause aggression in animals and the AVMA specifically states that animals known to be aggressive should be sedated prior to administering the drugs for euthanasia. Cooper was being euthanized for aggression and weighed over 100lbs. It took four shots to get him down and another of potassium chloride to stop his heart. I will never forgive them for making his last moments ones of panic and fear instead of loving peace.

I was referred to this facility because of their historically fair prices. I took my two rescue cats in last week. The office visit alone was nearly $45.00 for the appointment only plus another $13.00 for the second cat, which is a huge increase from just last month. Also found out that Dr. Sullivan and the vet my friend saw were no longer there anymore and that both vets now there have only been there for the past few months. I explained that I was unemployed as one of the new vets were attempting to talk me into this vaccination and that one. I made it clear that I didnt want any unnecessary things done. The vet told me I should get both of my cats rabies vaccinations. I then asked the cost and declined siting my current unemployed status. When I declined her response was high pressure and that a "bat" could get in my house and give my cats rabies?!?! Im 51 years old and have yet to ever have a bat in my home. I walked out after one well cat visit and my other cat had a pre surgery test to be neutered. An entire surgery to have my cat neutered would be $125.00, no problem with that, but this office visit ended up being nearly $500.00!!!! I lost it! They ran tests without letting me know the costs, blood panels, blood chemical panels ($81.00 alone, how was the $44.00 blood panel not enough?) , feline aids (feline aids?????) tests that were not approved by me with high costs! absolutely unbelievable! Never ever go here unless you ask specifically ahead what test and what the cost is.....even then they will pressure you. Horrible

We changed veterinarians a little over a year ago and we are so happy with ‘Marysville Animal Care Center’ :) Shortly before our switch to ‘Marysville Animal Care Center’ we became owned by the most amazing Basset, Sammie ~~~ Sammie is approximately 11 years old and suffered a tragic loss, her ‘Mom’ had passed away unexpectedly. So with her change to a new home without any other pets, she suddenly had two sisters (A Dachshund & Black Lab) and one brother (Dachshund), and a cat, her life changed drastically practically overnight! We took her to ‘Marysville Animal Care Center’ for a check-up and the loving care Sammie received was second to none! Everyone there, from receptionist to doctors made Sammie and us feel comfortable. We have found our new ‘family’ at ‘Marysville Animal Care Center’. Being owned by five precious fur~babies, it’s imperative to have a place to take them for care that makes you feel safe and secure in their abilities to help medically and emotionally. Thank you, ‘Marysville Animal Care Center’ staff, for everything you do for our four-legged-children. All of you are true blessings to our family :)

I have taken all my pets to Marysville Animal Care Center for the last 25 years. Dr. Sullivan is an excellent and caring veterinarian who keeps up to date on the latest information and technology involving veterinary medicine. He truly loves animals and it shows. He saved the life of one of our collies when she had a collapsed lung. He came the clinic on a Sunday to treat her. He has also given us many good years with pets that had serous illnesses. Not only is Dr. Sullivan a great vet, but his entire staff is wonderful. We had a very tiny dog that needed to spend the day at the vet for a treatment and he hated the cage. So, the kind folks took turns carrying our little dog around with them all day while he was recovering. He liked nothing better than to be held and they knew it. I cant say enough good things about this clinic. They are great people.

I give them 2 stars because they are conveniently located and their vets are nice. Be prepared to get charged a $36 office visit every time you walk in the door, even if you are returning for shots that they did not complete the first time 2 weeks prior. The front desk is a cluster of chaos every time I am there. They have no flow to their check in/check out process so everyone stands around staring at each other and their dogs jumping all over while the receptionists just stare at their computer and dont acknowledge you. This has happened every time I have been in. The vets always sell you on surgeries that they think your dog should have and how they have the best prices, etc., etc. I dont want to hear all that, I just want my dogs shots updated and I will be on my way. Even if I have to drive to Dublin, I am taking my business elsewhere.

I brought my cat in a few months ago and they took an X-ray of her stomach. We spent a couple hundred dollars because she had diarrhea. They were unable to find any problem. So today I go in and ask about a cat food for a cat that is 6 years old with stomach issues and they tell me they dont sell cat food without a prescription. I looked at the science diet cat food and back at the older woman behind the counter and said you dont sell cat food? She said youd have to bring your cat in, she was very rude about it. I told her I already have. So Im now looking for vet that cares about animals. Luckily all the science diet food and cat probiotics are available at a better price on amazon. I just thought I would throw some business their way since they see my cat, only to be treated rude. Buy your cat food somewhere else!!

I bring my 3 dogs here and have always had wonderful experiences with the staff and doctors. Everyone is accommodating, professional and most of all have taken fabulous care of our pets! When I walk in with my pups and my small child, we are always helped with doors and greeted with smiles. The two doctors I've seen have spent sufficient time with us during our visits and made sure we feel comfortable before we leave. As far as cost goes, I have taken my animals to another vet and have to say that Marysville Animal Hospital is extremely affordable in comparison, with no less quality of service. I've referred 2 other people to MAH and they have both commented on how happy they are with the change. All in all, I highly recommend Marysville Animal Hospital!!
