I live in Galloway, and have three special needs dogs. I was seeing a vet here, who I loved at first. My adult son adopted a cat who he was told had a "mild" heart murmur. Come to find out, it was severe and the cat was in distress. After paying several hundred dollars to find out what was wrong my son made the hard decision to opt for euthanasia. Remember, this is NOT Plain City. Anyway, he took cat in and asked for euthanasia. My former vet started telling him he hadnt done everything, and refused euthanasia. Wanted him to go to OSU heart clinic for several hundred more dollars, in the hopes of getting cat into a drug trial. A neighbor recommended Plain City, so he took cat there with the records. Dr. Lynn examined cat, agreed with euthanasia, and let him know he was making a good decision. I started taking my dogs there. One has had Addisons Disease for many years, another is low thyroid, and another has seizures. They are always great at doing what needs to be done, without pushing extra tests and services.I average $200/month right now on my dogs health care, so I am pushing the limits of what I can do. If I have a sick animal they get me right in. If I need something they always go out of their way to see what they can do. When my old (15+) year old dog needed hospitalization they were realistic about the problem, and worked with me to be able to afford proper treatments, without making me feel guilty if I declined a service.

Well I had some issues with my dog and the vet couldnt find what was wrong with him, So he said we can put him out of his misery. I was upset and started crying. I did bring my dog home and 2 days later decided i needed to put him down. I took him back to Plain city on a Saturday. It was a horrible experence for me and my dog. when we got there we waited 10 minute in a room before the vet came in. He was given drugs to relax him which caused his veins to roll. Apparently this happens but not often at all. they should have put the IV in before given his drugs to relax him. So while being doped up the vet was trying to put his IV in to give his final drug to stop heart. She couldnt do it. For 20 minute I listened to my poor dog cry. I mean cry. When he was finally gone it took almost 25 minute of suffering. I was crying and upset in office and the vet never once came out and said sorry to me. 2 Days later me friend had an appointment with the owner Dr Dan and told him what had happened and he said it was a Euthanization gone bad. No remorse for what I went threw nothing at all. I never even got a phone call. My animals are my kids. I cant sleep, I cry all the time because all I hear is his cry. Nobody should go threw this.

As someone that lives in Columbus, Im used to paying a relatively high price for any veterinarian service. With how much I love my cat, Im happy to pay the price when she needs help. Today was my first time at the Plain City Animal Hospital and the entire experience was positive from the first phone call to schedule. The woman who answered the phone was very engaging and genuinely interested in helping me in any way possible. As soon as I entered the building I received a very friendly greeting and was taken care of immediately. The technician that was assigned to me was friendly, professional, and most importantly, patient with my frightened cat. When the doctor came in she was also friendly, engaging, professional, and genuinely concerned with getting my cat back to good health. They stayed after closing to ensure the problem was resolved and made me an incredibly happy customer, especially when the bill was less than half of my regular vet office. I will definitely return to this facility, as well as recommend it to anyone with a pet they care about.

Everyone is so friendly. Early evening appointments are available one or two days a week which is really helpful. Prices are mostly reasonable. And most importantly, Dr. Lynn and staff truly seem to care about their "patients".
