It is ridiculous how significantly expensive this place is. It is because they are a monopoly, they dont really have much competition around them. They dont participate with 1800-petmeds because they simply dont want to lose out on the money. When I called to get an estimate for the cost of getting my two dogs nails clipped, I was quoted at $30 per dog, then they always have this $15 added cost on to each of my bills called an "office call charge". Sure just take a little more out of my pocket. I now will take my dogs to Four Paws Resort to get their nails clipped because they provide excellent customer service there, and theyre more personable, and it is $12 per dog at Four Paws :). Also, I have been wanting to get my male neutered for a while but I have been having trouble saving up 450-500 dollars for that procedure. We live in tough times these days, some of us normal folk do not have the finances for this outrageous prices. I knew before I got my two dogs that they were going to be costly to maintain their health, and I want nothing but the best for them. I pay a little extra than normal on their daily food because I want it to be healthy for them in the long run. It is really hard to help maintain their health when I know their vet bills are going to be higher than my own personal medical bills. Also, sometimes I get the sense that the vet is trying to rush me. Last year I had issues with my dogs having flees, and the Veterinarian, Dr. Ball, seemed semi-concerned and was basically telling me that there was nothing I could do. I was concerned because my dogs case of the fleas was getting bad and the medicine I was paying big bucks for wasnt doing her justice, and to just have a vet tell me that was all I could do was kind of disappointing. She seemed to pretend like she cared but I didnt feel like she truly wanted to help me solve the issue, she had more important things to do that day. Dr. LeVan on the other hand, was genuinely nice, happy to answer any of my questions or concerns, went over other options with me, didnt make me feel so rushed. Another complaint I have is sometimes you dont know what youre going to get from customer service. I know my parents have an old lab who is old and has health issues. My father took him to the vet one day for, as he called it, "A routine tune-up". He was there waiting to see a doctor for about an hour, then the visit turned into 2 hours. He said they didnt seem that busy. And they just sent our lab home saying hes fine after a costly bill, when he does have health issues that have not really been fully addressed to my parents. I have to say though, Cassie Canode, the vet tech, is amazing. She genuinely cares and is so nice to not only my dogs, but me as well. She is very knowledgeable too, happy to answer any questions, and acts very professional. She is probably the best employee there! Overall, on the clinical side of things at this business, I feel they do a good job. My one female got spayed there, her surgery was a success, and she healed quickly. Although it was about $470, at least they did take care of her while she was there. I just feel as though the pricing for their procedures and services are absolutely ridiculous. No payment plans offered. I feel like the services for spaying and neutering should be dropped significantly because it is so important that most pets, unless you are a breeder, be spayed or neutered to help lower the issue of so many abandoned, abused, or stray pets living in the over populated humane society. How do you encourage the community you have your business in the importance of this procedure when you charge double the price as other veterinary hospitals do?

I want to start by saying, it is not comfortable for me to leave a bad review. However, I have been left with no choice. We had a terrible experience with Woodside Vet. We took our dogs in because they were having an unexpected reaction to something around the house. We could not figure out what could have caused them both to start reacting like they did. We tried everything we could think of at home and finally gave in to taking them in for a check up to see what could be done. They got us in quickly (that was a plus). The problem ended up being something very obvious but completely unexpected. When we were finished, the bill ended up being absolutely absurd. Quite honestly, I couldnt believe what I was hearing. So, in order to reduce the price a little, I looked up their medication online and found it for half the price. Our bill was still very expensive but I paid it. Then, when I tried to order online (which was new to us), Woodside was very rude and unprofessional about it. We have been using Woodside for about 15 years. After this experience, we will never be back. On top of that, one of their employees called and was very rude. She spoke very disrespectfully and even hung up on me. This completely caught me off guard and shook me up (to the point of tears) because I am not at all a confrontational person. I called and left a message for the manager who never called me back. I called back a second time and she still never returned my call. Through all of this, we were completely confused and not sure why they ended up being so rude. It is quite unfortunate that they didnt care to keep our business. Not sure where it all went wrong.

My kid and I have 4 very small dogs (and my mother has one that we care for) and heres what we learned about Woodside Veterinary Hospital in Marysville, Ohio: every time you walk through the door there will be a minimum charge of $300. I think we went there for almost a full year before figuring out what a scam they are. Theyre constantly trying to sell you stuff you dont need by telling you your pet needs it. They were pushing me to get laser surgery on one of my girls at one point... and to get your dog fixed costs a bare minimum of $350 - $500. My male dog had a seizure and they charged me $800 for god only knows what. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Best of all, my mother had an older ailing old dog that weighed about 10 lbs and we took in to be put to sleep, another $300. And trust me, their service isnt any big deal, you can get treated just as well almost anywhere else. Dont be a schmuck like I was... all these guys care about is your wallet. Go somewhere, ANYWHERE else.

Im not usually a person who posts reviews but I feel that I should in this case. When I read these reviews, I cannot figure out for the life of me why the ones complaining do not take their complaints to the business rather than the internet. Ive had nothing but good experiences at this hospital and it is upsetting to me that the people complaining choose to handle their complaints this way. I can tell you that Ive been going to this hospital for over 5 years now and Ive never had an issue with the staff or the doctors. Their service is excellent and the doctors really care about my pets. And, their prices are in line with other hospitals in this town. I know because Ive been to them before going to Woodside. Try getting any other vet in town to call you back after hours if you have an emergency with your pet. I can tell you from experience that the Doctors at Woodside will.
