This is the second time I have taken my dog to this vet. The first experience was decent due to the vet being very personable and offering great advice. This second visit was horrendous! I made this appointment over a month ago for 6:00pm. I arrived at 5:45pm for a follow up, heart worm preventative tablets, and supplements. I sat in the waiting from until 6:40pm when I was finally called to a room. Once in the room we waited again for a tech to come in that was unfriendly and seemed in a rush to get out. They close at 7:00pm. At 7:20pm AFTER still not seeing the Vet and waiting over 1 hour and 30 minutes, I walked out. As I exited the room, the front desk staff was closing up and locking the doors. I said " I am leaving. I have been here since 5:45pm and still have have not been seen." They replied "You havent been seen even by a tech?" I said "The tech came in 30 minutes ago and I am still waiting while people who were here after me are walking out." She said "Well what is your pets name so I can let them know.... I said his name and she said OH OK! I will let them know!" Not once did they ask if they could help me, try to get the vet, reschedule, apologize or offer any form of service recovery. Obviously, they are use to making their patients and customers wait as I waited the first visit for over an hour as well. I gave them the benefit of doubt because they were highly recommended. I will say this, I chose this vet because of the recommendation but I will be more than happy to drive back to West Bloomfield for further treatment. They do not deserve my business and I will not go back. I will NOT recommend them to anyone as they display complete unprofessional behavior. The lack of courtesy and care for my time makes me question their treatment. They have lost a great customer and will not be recommended.

Disclaimer: I know some employees personally, but this will be an honest review. First, the origins... Currently large corporations are buying up veterinary clinics and turning them into profit driven companies by firing skilled people and hiring cheap unskilled labor. Dr. Butto was at another clinic that was being sold to one of these large corporations, so she left and sacrificed much of her personal time and money to start Cahill. That alone speaks to the kind of place Cahill is. Cahill is a hospital, not a clinic, which has some positives and some negatives. One negative would be that if you have a scheduled appointment and many emergency patients come in then your appointment will take a long time, maybe hours. The positive is that your pet having an emergency will always come first. This also means that the emergency hospital you bring your pet to is the same people that already know your pet from the routine visits.. no starting from scratch. The staff are all very qualified at their jobs, and know how to handle animals well. They also dont tolerate pets that are vicious or other situations that could harm your pet. If you want the dirt cheapest or the quickest vet at all costs then there are other places for you. If you want high-quality and pet-centered care then you should try Cahill.

My pet had an operation from here and developed a severe post operative infection. Infections do occur sometimes from surgery so that was not the problem. My dying pet and I were in the Exam Room at 12pm and was told that we were unable to be seen. Remember this clinic was responsible for performing the surgery 3 days prior to this. With a fever of over 105F and 2 nights in the animal hospital over an hour away, my pet was able to be saved. I got a call from the doctor at Cahill (30 hours later) with a message left on my phone and a non-callback number without any way of calling her back or contacting her directly. The lack of access to the staff when my pet was in his death bed was absolutely saddening and requires significant attention. Their medicinal practices are done on their convenience from what I have witnessed and this is a large downfall considering that they are performing surgeries on our pets that have risks for complications. I do not recommend beyond routine care

We have been taking our cockapoo to Cahill for about two years now. I would never think of changing vets. Our cockapoo is famous for eating things that he should not. He has had a few surgeries and we never doubted Dr. Spiewak advice to us she is absolutely amazing! Not only are they great doctors they are all around great people who actually care about you and the family. Your not just another patient in the books or a chart. Mallory is amazing as well. We will forever be greatful to Cahill and recommend them to anyone! They do offer the best care I have ever seen. They were recommended to us when he was a small pup! Thank you for everyone at Cahill. Keep up the great work! The wait is definitely worth your time.

When the time finally came to have to put my dog down to end his suffering, Cahill Veterinary Hospital somehow managed to make a terrible experience even worse. They heavily sedated him before administering the overdose of anesthetic drugs. However during this time, while my poor dog was on the ground with his tongue sticking out of his mouth (he no longer had the ability to control it) they decided it was the best time to discuss the payment for the cost of the drugs and cremation. I will always remember my dog lying on the ground with his tongue out, helpless, while this vet was asking (almost blackmailing) me for money. I will never bring another pet to this Vet and would advise against using their services.

Dr. Greear is a wealth of information. She not only is educated in conventional treatments but extremely knowledgeable about holistic protocols as well. She performed an operation that was a "walk in emergency" and saved my dogs life, shes prescribed Chinese herbs that helped extend our dogs life, and shes super compassionate. Our family is forever grateful for how truly wonderful shes been. The restroom is always spotless, Susan, Janice, and Laura that work the front desk have always been very kind, professional, and helpful. There is a wait, at times, but this place is worth the wait. Im a seasoned pet parent and this is thee absolute best vet around.

I found a very injured kitten and having limited funds I was hard pressed to find a facility that would help me and the kitten. I called Cahill and they immediately said that they would help me to the best of their ability. As soon as I arrived a very kind assistant took the kitten back to check her out. Sadly, she was suffering too much and needed to be put down. They wrapped her in a blanket and gave me a few minutes with her and had a very loving and caring attitude. They took very good care of the kitten and I while we were there. I will absolutely take my own pets here and recommend their services. They had a clean facility and a doting staff.

The quality of services provided by Cahill is superb, I have nothing negative to say about them. Scheduling and keeping on track with appointments on the other hand is a nightmare with them. Dont expect to get taken care of right away, they have a serious issue with overbooking their schedules. Every time Ive gone its been a minimum 25 minute wait on a good day, with the worst being right around 2 hours, on average its about a 35 minute wait. Even calling is a pain as most of the time theyll ask if you can be put on hold, which usually ends up lasting around 5-10 minutes with the longest time Ive been on hold being 40 minutes.
