My dentist Thomas bell retired and I had to find a new dentist. I had a cracked wisdom tooth that needed pulling and some general cleaning. They ran my insurance and scheduled the work to be done. The wisdom tooth went flawless. The cleaning however was another story. First I checked with them to make sure it was covered by my insurance. I was told it was and I paid my portion. I had my X-rays and then my cleaning. Turns out they said I needed a deep cleaning and they could only do it in quadrants. They said it cant be done in one sitting it has to be done on multiple vi$it$." More co-pays". After that initial cleaning my gums and teeth were sore for quite awhile. I could have had this done 10X in a row with Dr Bell and with no pain what so ever. They set me up for another appointment at 7 am. I showed and no one is there, locked doors. I waited with another patient for an hour and an employee. No one showed. I went home and expected a call form them explaining what had happened. No call, just a email with a new appointment date that I did not agree on. I called them and canceled the rest of the cleanings and a chipped tooth repair. Almost a year later I just got a bill for the cleaning with a service date of 6/17/16 saying I had not met my wait period. This is after they told me it was covered. Because they did a "deep cleaning" that was no different then my regular cleanings at my previous dentist. The cleaning was coded differently and not covered. Had they actually checked with my insurance they would have seen that. I would have waited a little longer and then had the work done when it was covered. But I believe they didnt check and did the work anyway. They get you this way because you sign a form saying if the insurance does not pay then youre responsible for the charges. I am curious if others have had this happen? I will never set foot in a Chain dentist office again. They are in it for the money and care nothing about the treatment of their patients.

The dentist is very unprofessional. No bedside manners. He has been rude to me twice. I wont go there ever again. I would rather drive clear to salem.
