My family have been patients at Valley Family Practice off and on for the past 20 years. My mother has consistently had the same doctor at VFP for that entire time period- Dr. Konecne. Despite this, Dr. Konecne and her assistants fail to show empathy when dealing with sensitive news. They ordered my mother to undergo additional testing without ever explaining why and then delivered a serious diagnosis to my mother via voicemail with just the direction "you need to lose weight." No prognosis. No clarification. No "please make an appointment with me so we can discuss this in person". This left my family and I scrambling to understand the diagnosis alone. When contacted further, Dr. Konecnes staff failed to understand how unprofessionally they acted, and failed to empathize with their client--- empathy should be the building block of all doctor-client relationships! My mother had to request a referral... somehow even that basic service could not be provided without my mother asking explicitly. This recent behavior is not new, just the most serious case. I refused to be Dr. Konecnes client it is obvious when you are in her office, you are just an appointment she can tick off as completed, not a human being asking for help.

I have had nothing but good service with Valley Family Practice. The employees are extremely pleasant. Upon my first visit I was told by my Nurse Practioner to be prepared, that she might run late when seeing patients but explained that making sure that her patients understood, being there for them if they had received unsettling news, etc. was important to her. I really appreciated her honesty and yes, shes been a few minutes late seeing me but when she walks in that door I get her full attention. Ive never felt like she rushed me through, like Ive seen at so many other facilities. They are always on a time clock. So, if you want thorough care go here. If you want to be treated like cattle and rushed through this might not be the place for you.

My experience was pleasant, my bill was not. I thought I was going in for a preventive care appointment. Once I saw my bill, an additional medical code was added. I was asked to come in for a follow up appointment, the additional medical code was added again! To me, a fair medical practice should be to disclose costs to the patient up front before services are rendered.

Looking for a primary care giver, i found Sita Taibi to be disrespectful. Her assistance never intoduced herself to me and looked only at the computer. No wonder the parking lot was nearly empty. Just because I am a senior citizen does not mean I am ignorant or uneducated. I will not be returning to this place.

No concept of time. You will not see a dr. for at least an hour, if youre lucky. I got frustrated and they were kind enough to reschedule me for the first appointment of the day...and I STILL WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO SEE THE DOCTOR!
