I am very physical active, both at work and in sports and exercise. Over the past 18 months, I started getting a tingling sensation in the pinky finger of my right hand, and through the months, lack of sensation and strength was growing through my pinky finger and adjacent middle finger. My neck was also starting to hurt a lot over the course of the year. As both ailments continued to progress, I became extremely concerned. I reached out to friends for advice on medical help which led me to Dr Seth Hosmer. I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of his office staff. During examination, at times he seemed to spot what areas where I felt the most tension and pain without me specifically telling him. He seemed to have a grasp on what and where medical attention was needed. Through his treatments over the course of several weeks, sensation and feeling started coming back in my right hand. Also, my neck pain generally abated after years of tension. Also since 2007 I have suffered from acute form of tinnitus which I have been told medically there is nothing that can be done. However recently, after several weeks with Dr Seth Hosmer , I noticed one night that the constant ringing of my tinnitus was gone. This quiet time lasted for only 3 hours, but it has given me hope. I am not saying that chiropractic treatment can cure tinnitus, but I do believe there can be side benefits from treatment. And honestly, for the first time in years, many of my afflictions that I just dealt with over the years are just starting to go away. Dr Hosmer is also comprehensive in his treatment: I do stretches and other physical exercises that he recommends. Also, his technique involves many apporoaches; he doesn’t just adjust your spine, he asks detailed intelligent questions regarding your ailments, and many aspects of his treatment are in the form of mild and more advanced stretching. He also has in-house physical message therapist, which get involved with trigger point therapy, which has helped a lot. The bottom line is: I am pleased with the results, and Dr Hosmer has delivered them. If you are looking for a good chiropractor: I suggest saving your time and money endlessly searching, because through my experience, Dr Seth Hosmer is one of the best that Portland has to offer.

Ill admit I was sort of afraid to see a chiropractor. I dont have chronic pain, it wasnt a car accident, and my husband has seen Dr Hosmer but its been for what seemed like more serious chronic problems to me so I thought I didnt really qualify. BUT, I did something weird and the pain in my chest got worse and worse over 2 weeks and I found myself unable to pick up my 3 year old, so I thought I would give it a shot and go see if they could help. I wish I had gone in the very first day!! Turns out you can pop out a rib moving a heavy car seat, and quick and painless adjustment and the pain was gone, and it never came back. Nothing to be afraid of! That was the first time I went to Dr Hosmers office. Then last month I had a cold that developed into an ear infection that caused extreme vertigo. One of my friends recommend I go back to Dr Hosmer, but I assumed when my ears cleared up, everything would go back to normal. The problem was after 2 weeks of that kind of sickness, my neck was a disaster and I barely knew it. When I finally went in, a few (painless again) adjustments, my neck could rotate again and it immediately helped with the vertigo I was still experiencing, with 2 visits I was back to seeing normally and being able to drive. Why did I wait so long again!? I cannot recommend this office enough. Dr Hosmer listened to what brought about these problems, and was very conscientious of the fears I had coming in, and was able to fix all of these problems quickly without any pain or stress. I will never wait again! Also, had an easy time finding parking near their office, comfortable waiting room, and everyone there is really nice and was helpful in finding a time I could come in with my crazy schedule. I have heard great things about the massage therapists there too, Im just hoping to find an excuse for that next time!

I am one of those blessed individuals with fibromyalgia, so Im constantly in pain and have sought out traditional western medicine as well as several other complementary sources. I have probably seen ten different chiropractors over the years, and that many LMTs also. One of the things I greatly like about Dr. Seth is that he is an excellent listener. Even better, he is an easy person with which to communicate. He was willing to listen and involve me in what I want out of his services. I was suffering from tension headaches, and in addition to several adjustments, he gave me multiple exercises to do (that were different from other practitioners) that I have incorporated into my regular exercise routine. Both the adjustments and exercises provided relief. He also didnt push for me to come back repeatedly (as some other chiropractors I have seen) and left that choice up to me. The other big "pain" I was having was in my calf muscles; they had become so painful and full of active trigger points that I was very limited in the distances I could walk each day. I sought out massages from his very capable LMTs. Both are excellent. I have worked more with Leah, because of scheduling, and have found her to be outstanding at what she does. My legs are beginning to show some improvement after multiple visits to the clinic. The massages are not just to "feel good," but are providing relief from all the knots I have acquired over the years. I had Kim fill in once when Leah was ill, and she too did a marvelous job. Both these women know their anatomy well and provide fabulous sports massage. I strongly recommend them if you are searching for some help for sore muscles. Gabrielle

Dr. Hosmer renewed my faith in chiropractic medicine. After rupturing two discs in my lower back, I spent over a year bouncing between doctors and physical therapy trying to find someone who could help me deal with the pain, heal, and regain my physical activities with no luck. I was at the point of thinking that all chiropractors were the same; they would take you into their office, spend 5 minutes talking to you, perform a generic adjustment or use some electrical stimulation on you, then tell you to come back in a week. It was an endless cycle that never helped, and I felt like I was doomed to a life of back pain and lack of physical mobility - until I met Dr. Hosmer. I was desperate at this point, and went to Dr. Hosmer after he was recommended to me by a friend. I had almost no mobility in my back, and could barely bend at the hips. After spending some time talking about my problems and taking notes, Dr. Hosmer told me his goal was to have me be able to touch my toes with little to no pain before I left his office that day. I nearly laughed in his face out of disbelief! To my surprise, he spent the next hour working on my back and testing our progress, and by the time I left I could touch my toes with very little pain! After a year of going to other doctors we made significantly more progress within an hour. I returned for a few follow up visits, and within about a month I felt completely rehabilitated and was able to return to living a normal life. Dr. Hosmer really stands out in the field of chiropractic medicine as someone who actually cares about seeing you get better. You would be hard pressed to find a better doctor.
