I went to Oregon Sleep Associates on reference from my physician strictly for a sleep study. The equipment for the take home study indicated success, but after turning it in I was called back saying it didnt get a reading. Despite being assured I would not be billed for this, I found that I was. The office also billed me for a "comprehensive" medical history, which was never discussed and I dont recall, unless you count the question "having trouble sleeping?" and a 10 minute sales pitch to buy a cpap machine as medical history. The estimate for the machine they pitched was approximately 15x inflated over the cost to buy the exact model direct from the manufacturer. The 100% coverage from my insurance also didnt happen, likely a result of their grossly inflated and tacked on charges. This organization engages in unethical billing practices, designed to fleece exhausted patients and should be AVOIDED at all costs. Ive asked my physician to stop referring patients here and am looking into pursuing a grievance with whatever professional association oversees them.

This was not my first sleep study. The other studies I had were at large hospitals that had a more institutional feel. I was able to park our car in a somewhat secure place and walk a very short distance to the sleep lab which is part of the Drs. office. The tech who helped me was not overloaded with work and was very good at what he did. The bed was a sleep number type that was very comfortable. The next morning I was given breakfast, got cleaned up in a large bath room facility where everything was provided, and then was taken directly to meet with the Doctor. Dr. Root and his staff were all very friendly and competent. There is a cracker jack tech their named Jason who fits you with the proper equipment. I had a problem with a face mask leak and a different mask was waiting for me when I went in to exchange it. There whole setup seems to be more efficient and personal than other facilities that I have used since 1994.

My son who is 3 and has had trouble sleeping for a little over a year. We saw numerous doctors and specialists and Dr. Kim was the first one that I really felt listened to me and offered suggestions and ulitmately a solution. We ended up doing a sleep study and this was a great experience as well. Kenna was our sleep tech and she was amazing as well. My son is super shy but she made friends with him quickly and he didnt even struggle while she got him all hooked up. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone who thinks they couldn benefit from a sleep study. It was so easy to get an initial appt, and our sleep study was less than a week later and Dr. Kim called with the results instead of making me come in for another appt. We now have a treatment plan for my little guy and will be following up with OSA in a couple of months!

The only reason Im giving them a 2 is because the staff was very friendly. The truth is so called sleep specialist like OSA are nothing more than rip off artist. Preying on people suffering from sleep disorders. They make you pay outrageous sums of money for their so called sleep testing. Then make you pay outrageous sums of money to purchase their Cpap machines. Which they conveniently sell on premises. The primary purpose of their business/con is to push these machines. Of course this machine doesnt actually work or do anything, and often makes you feel worse then before. So you have to keep coming back for whatever the snake oil salesmen want to do to you and charge you next. Save your time and money and dont bother

I became aware of my sleep apnea when my surgeon told me that he had observed extended interruptions in my breathing in the course of a surgery. My physician recommended Sleep Associates, and it has proven to be very good advice. Sleep Associates recommended a CPAP, helped me get started and has provided excellentsupport since. These days I am sleeping much better than I ever did before the process began, and Ive come to think of the original surgery as a very important event. Sleep Associates has performed an important role throughout.

Doctor Gangal listens and is empathetic. The sleep clinic is a very comfortable hotel-like settings with sleep number beds. The technician was kind, affable and worked well with a child. Their analysis of sleep information was far superior to that we had received elsewhere. When a diagnosis was given, much reassurance about the fact that there were several possible treatments available. I would recommend them highly.

Ive been a patient of OSA for several years. I was tired of being tired all the time, often waking up in the morning more tired than when I went to sleep the night before. My sleep study showed the issue and with Dr. Root and teams help Im now getting a solid 7 hours of sleep a night and wake up rested and refreshed. They literally saved my life as the risks of sleep apena are pretty scary.

Ive been going here for a few years. Did a sleep study and saw Dr Root and his staff. All went well and I was prescribed aids that were very helpful. Recently a piece of equipment failed on the weekend and the doctor on call (Dr Gangal) went to significant trouble to make sure I was taken care of even though their office was closed. I greatly appreciate the extra care that was given to me.

Ive been a patient of Dr Roots for a little over one year. I used to have really bad restless legs and Dr Root helped me get on a medication regime that almost completely eliminated my symptoms. I also have sleep apnea and get everything I need in one place. After seeing Dr Root, I wouldnt go anywhere else for help with my RLS and sleep apnea!

Dr. Gangal is wonderful! She is attentive and seems to really care about her patients. She was very supportive and encouraging during my transition to using a CPAP machine. The front desk ladies are professional and friendly. The people who assist with the equipment are patient, knowledgeable and kind. So glad I found this place!

3 1/4 stars: This was my first sleep-specialist: I received my sleep study at this center. The sleep-study was good. However, after subsequent visits, his quality of service gradually declined: a) he was not proactive about trying to better my sleep issues (ie. with sleeping tips, eating tips, melatonin, etc)

Dr Root was professional, concerned, and engaged in listening to my symptoms and history. His staff was courteous and friendly and were able to schedule my appointments and take care of my insurance with ease. I did a sleep study in their center and the staff were obviously experienced and very friendly.

Dr. Root is as good as they come. He genuinely cares about understanding you and what issues you may be dealing with related to your sleep. The entire staff at OSA is amazing and everyone makes me feel welcome every time I have an appointment. I feel very fortunate that I ended up finding this office.

Do not waste your time and especially your money with this practice. I do not believe the home sleep test worked, and was told a CPAP machine was the only solution.
