Dear Dr. Silva and Staff, as I have told you, I have spent many, many hours in the dental chair...from Baltimore, Indiana, Bethlehem, Philadelphia and now safe and sound with your office. So, I can say with some real authority, Dr. Silva, you really know how to take care of issues in the mouth. You are stuck with me for life! Ive already referred some of my friends, and Im not done yet. On another note, when I was having some jaw issues recently, I hesitated to call you because yours is a robust practice, but you got me in the same day to take a look. I was also impressed that you never rushed to some diagnosis but rather took another approach. You gave me exercises to do and asked me to come in for another follow up apt on this issue. Then, to my surprise and delight, you did not charge for the consultation, which ended up being more of a "complete and detailed examination of my symptoms and jaw". I appreciate all the time and genuine care you gave me, both that time and every time I come to your office. I am so glad you chose this profession. You operate your office at such a high standard and everyone you train and hire keeps pace with you. My suggestion to anyone who is not totally in love with their dental experience to come meet Dr. Silva and to give her office a try. You "should" love your dentist. If you want a second opinion, get it here. You wont be sorry, youll be so happy that you visited Advanced Dentistry...you will tell your closest friends and family and maybe even gush about it on Google like I did. Thank you Dr. Silva and the friendliest staff I ever met! Sincerely, George R. P.S. If your are curious like I was...about the person who posted a 1 star....there is no name of a sender and no comment...so, no comment, no count. Now, if you look at the rest of the posts...they are Solid Gold Stars...5s...the Highest...ALL of her reviews. That tells you everything you need to know.

I have always had anxiety related to the dentist. Even talking about dental work would make me nervous. I went to Dr. Silva as a new patient and I barely made it through the initial evaluation without running out the door. After my X-rays, it was clear I needed some work done. Dr. Silva could tell I was upset and did her best to manage my reaction of frozen solid fear. She offered to do the work in small parts so that it wasnt so intimidating. Ultimately, I decided to get everything done at once with conscious sedation. Up to the date of my appointment, I called and spoke to the office a handful of times asking all sorts of questions about the medication, the sedation, the injections, the nitrous oxide. Never once did they sound annoyed. (In truth, it was probably highly entertaining.) The day of the procedure, I was placed in a darker room, given sound-canceling headphones, consumed every single drop of the sedative, and a light mask was placed over my eyes. I think the nitrous also helped because one hygienist told me I was snoring when she came to finish the work. A week later, I went in for a follow-up to check my bite and to help with any issues I may have had post-procedure. The doctor also called me later that day to double check on me. All around, this experience was as not-awful as it could be for a scaredy-cat like me. Dr. Silva has a lovely office and a knowledgeable team of hygienists and office staff. Everyone was kind to me and even helped me laugh at myself a bit. I think the gas helped with that, too. Five stars for them. Because, 10 stars wasnt an available option.

First, let me say I hate going to the dentist and going to the dentist is the last thing I ever want to do. Because of this - my teeth are a mess. However, I just left this office and will never go back. Here are the reasons. 1. Dr. Silva seems to be a nice person. However she seemed to be condescending in her manner of speaking and I felt pushed into making decisions with little information and no time to research my choices. 2. I had an appointment at 8 am, and on arriving advised the staff that I had an appointment I had to be in my office for at 10 am. Despite this I spent long stretches of time in the examining room waiting for ???? Not really sure what I was waiting for. so at 10:05 AM I was just being checked out - late for a meeting that had huge implications for my business. 3. When attempting to schedule appts. for further procedures, because I was going to be out of town for the next week I had to schedule time two weeks away. These procedures were quite expensive and were going to use all my insurance at one time, and then cost me a another few thousand in addition. I was asked to pay for these services in advance, due (they said) to the fact that I was being sedated and the amount of time required. I offered to give them a deposit and pay on the day services are provided (prior to sedation) and they refused. Well - I refuse to pay for services before they are rendered. Thats not the way my business works, and I dont believe its fair.

Convenient to the King of Prussia area, Dr Silva represents cutting edge private dentistry in a uniquely modern facility that is relaxed, comfortable, with a show home flair. Its location is off the beaten path; parking and traffic are never a problem in the immediate vicinity. As other reviewers have attested, Dr. Silva is extremely gentle. I still (and will likely always) have a fear of dentistry but she makes it the best experience it could possibly be for me - she even sings for me!. In addition, the hygenist, supporting and administrative staff members are likewise very friendly/pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and patient. As for the cost, dentistry is expensive wherever you go. Cosmetic and restorative proceedures in paticular are generally either not covered at all or in limited fashion by most dental plans. It is what it is. Having had failed restorative work in the past, I believe you get what you pay for in terms of overall quality. Those in need of such services need look no further as it offered using the very latest and most sophisticated techniques. Payment plans are also available to accomodate a variety of budgets and credit histories to ease the financial burden. Office hours are also flexible including late evening appointments during the mid-week.

Dr. Silva dentistry was by far one of the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. Not only did she completely overlook stiches needed to a molar extraction, I needed to return the day after due to her breaking the tooth behind the extraction that had a filling, had her assitant do a quick patch with no prep. She also need to remove addition tooth fragments that she missed because she had other patients waiting. She offered no prescription for antibiotics or pain killers over a Christmas break which would of been fine if I didnt develop dry socket because of the lack of stiches that were clearly needed. Horrible experience. I found her completely unprofessional, rude and held an additude when I expressed concern over my original consultation. Honestly, now this is over and behind me... I wouldnt let her work on my dogs teeth. However to be fair, I did return days later in pain with the dry socket.. the other practicing Dentist was very nice and took great care of me. Agreed I should of had stiches and a prescription before leaving. I dont ever post this stuff but do yourself a favor and stay away from Silva... just my opinion.
