This is a long overdue "thank you" to MAH. Our history with Dr. Schrader and his staff spans fourteen years, four dogs, multiple visits, and the deaths of three of those dogs. I cannot tell how grateful my family is to have MAH right in the neighborhood. It seems that we tend to use the vets for acute issues rather than scheduled well visits. Every time we call, we are in need of urgent assistance and MAH always accomodates us even with their busy schedules. Todays visit was a bee sting to the eye and the one prior involved the diagnosis of bloat and subsequent euthanasia of our beloved girl. I can tell you that in each case the care and actions for my dogs (and me) were equally comforting and professional. Dr. Schrader has two great blessings: his skill as veterinarian and his fabulous, fabulous staff. This family is so grateful to MAH.

Quality of care for our pet(s) is of the utmost importance to us. We began using Montgomery Animal Hospital in the 1980s for our two cats. When Gepetto and Nutmeg passed away, we went for years without a pet (wait, what? Howd that happen anyway?). We adopted a rescue dog (Havanese) three years ago and, quite frankly, we did not even consider taking him anywhere but MAH. The vets are excellent, knowledgeable and always spend time with you to ensure your understanding is commensurate with your pets condition. Three generations of our family have brought our dogs and 1 cat to MAH over the past 40 years. It has always been great, but constantly improving. Dr. John Shrader and his daughter Rebecca are the two DVMs and daughter Carolyn is manager. They are supported by a great staff. We always take their excellent advice in caring for our dogs, and I respect that they are slightly conservative in offering treatment. Thanks to them all for taking care of our "family members".

Person answering phone failed to fax dog vaccine certificates to a boarding facility despite telling me they would do so. When I arrived at boarding facility the fax had not been sent and the dogs could not be boarded since the vet office was closed and impossible to contact or leave a message. This caused me a major inconvenience with travel plans. The doctors are great and the medical care good. Cant say the same about receptionist.

I rushed my 13 week old Gorden Setter there after a complete boneheaded mishap by me with a golf cart. I had just had my check-up the week before with Dr. Jeff so they actually knew my dog and having just moved to the area the MAH came highly recommended. The care that my dog received and the subsequent aftercare has been outstanding. The staff is genuinely concerened and interested in my dogs recovery and that I find refreshing.

This has been our vet for years. Although the costs have gone up (significantly), and the veterinarian has changed several times now, we stay for the high quality care and easy appointments (last minute sometimes). Also, decor could use some updates, but its always clean. All staff members are professional and able to handle dogs that may not get along with other pets (which is another plus).
