The hospital chose to change some of their rules, which is fine. Their prerogative, however they allowed no transition time for their patients and theyre not assisting patients who need to find new care, by refusing to give referrals (at least theyve refused to give them for me). Also during this shake up, the P.A I was seeing left the practice and Dr Schwartz refused to see me as a patient because I was too complicated and "he didnt feel comfortable" treating such a complex medical case.. yet as the Doctor in charge of this practice he had to sign off on every visit I had to the P.A because he was the doctor in charge and the PA was under him. So he saw every visit, every test, every RX I had there, signed off on all of them. If he had such a problem with the way I was being treated, was so concerned, why did he allow his P.A to see me and why didnt he say something sooner? Instead he just cut me off with no warning, refused to see me, never even spoke to me ONCE, he gave me 30 days to find a new Dr.- and trying to find a new doctor within 30 days, as everyone knows, is not possible. Not only has he done all of this but theyre now saying that theyre refusing to see me as a patient because I refused their care plan (not because he didnt feel comfortable treating me as a complicated medical case)!!! This is just a bald faced lie! I have done everything they asked of me, everything, despite the doctor refusing to see or speak with me, and Dr Schwartz has now left me with no options for continuous care. And yes, I have filed an official complaint with the hospital itself, so far those I need to speak with are not returning phone calls to me or helping me with working things out with their office (those in charge of the medical areas). I did get an appointment to come in and voice my complaint from the Vice President, he was kind and listened. I feel hes the only one who took me seriously, unfortunately he has no control over the doctor apparently. The way this doctor and hospital has treated me, and all the other patients like me, is not only unethical, but an atrocity to the care of patients. They are the epitome of what you fear of in a doctor, office and hospital.

Love Dr. Schwartz he is a great doctor. However becoming very irritated and upset with the fact that you cant get in to see him anymore.. First trying to get through the office can be one of the biggest and worse issues. But if you are lucky enough to get through to the office then you cant schedule an appointment in a timely manner you will have to wait weeks to see the doctor or deal with express care and express care has not in the least impressed me at all..( just an example I had a fall just a few weeks ago couldnt walk on left foot at all had to see express care which the doctor acted like she had much better things to do but did order X-rays..so had X-rays done and X-ray tech brought me back and the doctor and X-ray tech were having a spout as to where to put me to wait for results right in front of me. Then when results came back I was told it was a bad sprain and the doctor began wrapping my leg now mind you it was my foot that was hurt after she wrapped my leg I asked her if she was going to wrap my foot since that was the injured part and she stormed off got a bandage and wrapped my foot. This seems to be my experiences with express care they have no clue and think everyone has money and really seem like they dont like their jobs.) So not a place I constantly want to go to but there is not any other option cuz Dr. Schwartzs office is definitely not going to get you in in any hurry at all. Hate to change doctors been with him for years but I need a Doctor Who I can actually see and an office who will get me in to see him.

Dr. Schwartz is a wonderful primary care physician. While I am not 100% impressed with Hanover Hospital, whom he is associated with, his practice is exceptional. He is experienced, kind, caring, and is genuinely interested in my thoughts, and listens to my questions and concerns. I hear him in the hallways talking into a recorder making verbal notes about each patient after his appointments, so I know he doesnt let things slip through the cracks. The only thing Ive ever had trouble with is reaching the office sometimes. He has an expansive patient base, and getting through to an operator/receptionist can sometimes be a huge pain, but overall I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Schwartz is a great DO. He listens to us and respects us. Never had an issue with him or anyone in this office.
