Dr Varma took the time to hide this review from his facebook reviews, so I thought I would share it here: I came in with an infected wisdom tooth which was also causing an abscess in my gum. This was back when you were still at Broad and Hancock. I should have never came back after that first visit, as Varma proceeded to let me leave without prescribing any medication, until I asked one of the nurses if I was getting anything to deal with the infection. When I came back to get teeth capped, Varma proceeded to split the Novocain injection. This meant I could still for the most part feel what was happening but it was at least numbed. When I came back to get the final teeth cap, he mentioned right before he injected me that "he might not be able to save it". This was silly because if he had given me a choice or an option I would have just gotten that tooth pulled out when I had the other 3 wisdom teeth pulled out. But that didnt compare to what happened next. He injected me with Novocain and then left the room for maybe 30 seconds. He then charged back in the room and went to work on my tooth. It was not enough time for the Novocain to take effect and I felt every little move the whole time. I tried to say something with his fingers shoved down my mouth, but couldnt. Finally the nurse realized something was wrong, probably because my knuckles turned white from holding onto the chair so tightly. She got him to stop and I was able to say "I felt EVERYTHING" Dr Varmas caring response? "Well Im done anyway, so your fine now". I wanted to strangle him. He could have at least apologized, or pretended to care about me in the least. Nope he was done and that was that. To top it all off, the tooth broke two weeks later anyway and I had to pay AGAIN to get it removed, when I could have gotten it removed with the rest of my wisdom teeth the previous month. But that would have meant Varma couldnt charge my insurance again for "saving" that one wisdom tooth. And its funny, because I only remembered this incident because I was talking to a friend recently and we were sharing bad dentistry stories. She too had gotten work done by a doctor who proceeded to work on her without bothering to check if the Novocain had done its job. I told her my story, and asked if she had went to Lansdale Dental. She said yes, and we both spent the next 15 minutes bitching about Varma. The reviews on this page are a bunch of BS, most of them are CLEARLY friends and family of Dr Varma. Do yourself a favor and go to any other Dentist in the family, unless your a masochist.

I contacted Dr. Varma for the first time in 2003 when I had severe dental and gum problems with missing teeth. I was in need of an immediate attention of good dental doctor. Dr. Varma scheduled an appointment in his office. During our first meeting, he very patiently examined and evaluated my existing dental and gum conditions. First, he treated my swollen gums by referring me to gum-specialist who completely treated my gums. After making sure that my oral conditions is in good health he filled cavities and placed implants in missing spaces. He restored my oral and dental health to very good condition. In addition to being disciplined and focused person Dr. Varma displayed an exceptional level of patience, always spending extra time and putting in the additional effort to make sure that he completely understood the needs of the patient. His outlook was always pleasant, and he consistently treated his patients with respect.

I have been a patient of Dr. G.N. Varma for some 8+years now and remained so even with a few moves of the household! I even traveled from Philadelphia for over 4 of those years and would not have ever thought if changing dentists. I could not think of another dentist that I would go to after all of his care and concern for me. From routine care to scaling to several implants, he has proven himself in family and cosmetic dentistry. His staff is wonderful and accommodating. Dr. Varma responded to an emergency and even showed his deep concern when my father died earlier this year. He is compassionate and his skills and dedication are nothing short of exemplary. I have been a patient of Dr. Varmas for over 10 years and I have had nothing but great experiences. Before seeing Dr. Varma I was terrified of going into any Dentist office. When I expressed this to Dr. Varma he was patient and understanding and made me feel extremely comfortable. Since then I have not seen another Dentist. Even now that I live over 30 miles away from Lansdale I still make the drive to see Dr. Varma and his staff for all my dental needs. The practice has expanded over the last 10 years and in a very good way. The staff he has had and has added are fantastic. I cant emphasize enough what a great dental practice this is and how they go out of their way to make patients feel at ease.

Dr. Verma is clear in his diagnosis and systematic in providing the options and approach to execute them. Furthermore, his staff is courteous and accommodating. This allows us (the patient) to make a well-informed decisions regarding the path forward for the dental procedure required. To fix my dental problems, I had been been to many dentists but never got satisfied. until I saw Dr Varma and his staff , They are very professional,and caring, Dr Varmas approach to the problem is very clear & evident, well diagnoses, explains the options, provides recommended treatment and takes up the procedure. All procedures Dr Varma did were painless and post procedure recovery was too good! I highly recommend to consult Dr Varma if anyone is in need of Dental advise! Excellent Dentist. I was very unhappy with my smile. I had old, misshaped teeth. Dr. Varma made 4 new crowns. This was an extensive cosmetic rehabiliation procedure and Dr. Varma performed this in a painfree manner. They look natural. Its nice to smile again! I was extreamly happy with the care I recieved today. I was fitted with a velplast partial. It so nice to smile with a full set of teeth. It so nice to eat again. I never knew how natural they would feel. They feel like my real teeth. Dr. Varma is amazing!

My family has been using this dentist for years. Weve generally been happy, alrhough, it does seem like we are paying a lot out of pocket, even after insurance. Something isnt being communicated properly, and someone isnt taking accountability for it. We had a particularly bad experience lately with billing and until its straightened out, I will give this office mixed reviews.
