I had an identical experience with "BCs" below. Not only did he refuse to write me a prescription including my preferred brand of lenses, but he also gave me what I believe is the wrong prescription. He prescribed me for astigmatism even though Ive been told for 20 years that my astigmatism was too minor to prescribe lenses for. One year later when I needed my lens information to go to a different doctor, she refused to give the the information about my lenses. I did not ask for a script, simply the info about my lenses. It would be the equivalent of me asking my regular doctor for the name and amount of a drug I had been taking but not asking for more. Dr. B was rude the entire time I saw him and took nothing of my own opinion into account. In my eyes he should not be licensed to practice. I have spent the year with these contacts in constant irritation and discovered recently that I cant even see as well as I should be able to. I will update my review when I get my new prescription to see if he really did misprescribe me.

Very unprofessional and would not let me purchase accuvue like I usually do. I told him I usually use accuvue and he did not care. I ordered their generic brand or whatever they were trying to sell me. When they came in they would not give me the contacts, they said I had to set up one more appointment before they can give me the contacts I paid for. Forget it, I will never go back to even pick up my current contacts I would rather just go somewhere else and pay for a new year supply. I would never refer anybody to them and I work out at La Fitness next door so I was hoping it would be convenient. They say word of mouth is the best publicity but I will make sure everybody I talk to in the gym and that area knows how horrible this place is. Learn how to please your customers and maybe you would not have such bad reviews. I should have read the reviews before going.

Ive used this doctors services for years with never having or hearing of a complaint. I just now looked up his name to find his phone number to make an appointment. In doing so, I indirectly stumbled across his reviews and was surprised by the negative ones. Id like to add that most people are more inclined to write a review after a negative experience vs a positive one. That being said, although the experiences of the negative reviews may be true, I believe most of his customers are happy with his service (as am I) and just havent been moved to write a review. Ill be calling him tomorrow for my yearly eye exam and ordering of new contacts. I have no doubt that my experience will be just as delightful as many other appointments in the past.

I moved to philly 3 years ago.. and needed an eye doctor.. I started using Dr Barouh, and not only did I get an excellent doctor but I also made a great friend. He is knowledgable and easy going. He has special deals for contacts and glasses taht are very economical. I would reccomend him if you are looking for a personal touch. If you want a place where the docotr knows your name go there.

I had been going here for over a year but after repeatedly waiting in the lobby well past my appointment time and numerous rude behavior from the receptionist I decided enough was enough. I suggest anyone looking for friendly, prompt eye care to take your business elsewhere...

I called for a simple question, to get the side of my glasses adjusted to prevent them from falling. As soon as I said I got them from someone else, she cut me off and said "sorry, cant help you there, go to where you got them". I am glad did not come here at all!

I would recommend this office to everyone. Not only is the receptionist exceptionally friendly, but Dr. Barouh went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They genuinely care about the clients and its a welcoming atmosphere.
