I read great reviews about Dr. Schmidt but terrible things about the office staff and thought I was prepared for that when I called to make my first appointment (also had trouble getting through weeks earlier). Boy was I wrong. Impatient, ignorant and absolutely unwilling to help in any way. As a recent transplant from NYC, I was confused by the requirement for a referral from a doctor as I never needed that in NY. Receptionist grew increasingly and audibly annoyed as I asked questions to try to understand this. It wasnt until I apologized and explained that Id just moved to the area and never needed a referral in NY that she snapped, "Well, you never TOLD me that!" Apparently I was supposed to know that if youve just moved, you dont need a referral. Silly me! Dr. Schmidt has to review my records before I can make an appointment, and in the meantime I will continue researching endos in the area. No patient (or prospective patient) deserves to be treated so poorly.

Dr. Schmidt is an amazing Dr. but the office staff and communication leaves much to be desired. I could list all the problems Ive had with but Ill just list my biggest pet peeve... they dont even have call waiting!

Dr Schmidt is amazing and I have been going to her for well over a decade. The phone staff however can have a less then pleasant manner.

Excellent Staff. Dr. Jay Springer is the best endocrinology doctor in the Philadelphia area. Very organized and clean. Nice place to be.
