My last O.D. was a good one, but his office help did not instruct me in how to carefully remove my new thin contact lenses. There are some techniques necessary to help Since I did not know them, I caused a hematoma in my one eye. He also, prescribed PureVision 2s which caused my eyes to water alot, and I even got an infection from putting my hands near my eyes too much. Dr. Smith is also a good O.D., but he no longer prescribes PureVision 2 contacts for personal reasons, and put me in a set of CooperVision Biofinity Multifocals. He said these are "more slippery", and hes found them to bring better results overall. Well, he was right! Not only do I see more clearly without watery eyes, but they are more comfortable to wear due to the fact that they are "slippery", and dont dry out as much. After asking Dr. Smith many questions, I believe he has integrity, and is careful not to say anything negative about any companys products. He just diplomatically directs you to his educated opinions on what would be best for you. His office staff has much experience, too, which is a plus.

LowCountry vision care exceeded my expectations for professional eye care by Dr. Smith. He is experienced, patient and engages his clients by educating them about their own eye care. Dr. Smith conducted each one of the tests personally...no changes of people conducting tests in each room. His staff members are very knowledgeable and are genuinely interested in giving each client their full attention. Kerri Leonard assisted me with check-in and insurance information. She also provided me with the most helpful guidance I have ever received when selecting my new eyeglasses. Everyone in the office was warm, friendly and highly competent. They have my highest recommendation!

My husband was in Pawleys Island visiting from Georgia and his eye began hurting. He Googled eye doctor and found Lowcountry Vision Care. They worked him in that day and because it was a serious virus, Dr. Smith came in on Saturday to see my husband again. He then worked my husband in the following Monday before we drove home. Staff was great! Service was extraordinary! Inventory good too. I plan to go back and buy new sunglasses next time Im in Pawleys... Which is often.

Incredible customer service!! I left my contact lens at home while on vacation (and had no glasses!) and they not only provided me with 5 days worth of my prescription at a fair price, but followed up several times to let me know what was going on with receiving the right info. from my eye doctor to get them to me as soon as possible. Mardi was so kind and accommodating. Thank you for saving my vacation!
