We have used these Vets for almost 15 years and just love them. We have had them care for 6 dogs, and two cats. Four of the dogs grew old, and passed away. I couldnt ask for more competent, and compassionate vets that helped us through very difficult losses. The staff is likewise caring and helpful. They are easy to reach, you can get an appt. often within 30min-1 hr. They have appts till 6, and have hours every other Sat. morning. So they are very accessibile. This Vet clinic is all around wonderful!! To reply to one of the bad reviews, this is no scam. I have used them for a very long time, and have always had a good experience. With 6 dogs over 15 years, and 2 cats, we have had just about every reason to see them. We have used all of them, depending upon the time we needed to come in, and each is wonderful. The secretarial and vet tech. staff has been great too. We have had them care for puppies, as well as old ones who eventually passed away. They worked with the Vet Specialists for our dogs with cancer, making sure that our pets recieved the care that they needed for their specific illnesses. They care for our two cats from the time they were kittens, and now that they are older. I cant imagine a problem with this group as we have this long and varied history of using them. They are good vets, compassionate and kind people. Being very accessible, competent, and compassionate, I cant imagine having a problem with them. All of the Vets are great.

Place is a scam. Notice how all the reviews (nearly 50 of them) are pretty much 5 stars. Trust me this is NOT a 5 star animal hospital. I am sure there are some good, professional vets there, but from my experience they will misdiagnose your pet in order to gain funds/save time. I took my cat there two week ago, because I feared he had urinary tract problems. They assured me he was fine, and he just had to get his anal glands expressed. I asked if I could do anything to prevent this from happening again, and she said no this perfectly normal. She examined him for about 2-3 minutes, and I was out in 10 with about $70 drained from my wallet. Fast forward another two weeks, and I am rushing my cat to a 24 hour hospital for a UTI, which I had to drop $400 for. This all could have been avoided if they had competent workers, that actually care about their patients intsead of making a buck. They could have conducted a urine test and blood test two weeks ago, but no They are not friendly/social, and mainly consist of 20-30 year old women, who have no idea what they are doing. They are very fake. Also, if you have a cat definitely do not go here. It appears from the reviews and my experience that dogs are only worth their time. I have changed vets (after my family being regulars there for over a decade), and needless to say it is a breath of fresh-air from the unqualified, shallow staff I had to take my pain-ridden pet to.

We have been patients of Forest Hill Animal Hospital for many, many years. Everyone has always taken such great care of our animals on every level care they have needed. From yearly shots and exams to injuries and surgeries with follow up care. They have taken wonderful care of both of our puppies. When serious illness overcame our puppies; the Doctors did not hesitate to refer us to a specialist. The specialists were fantastic. The Docs kept in constant contact with us and with the specialists. We have had many visits associated with two dogs with canine cancer and the ups and down that come with them having cancer. They took wonderful care of our sweet Abbey until her last day. They advised us when it was determined that nothing more could be done for Abbey, and they then guided us (and did a lot of hand holding!) to let us know when it was time to let go. They were ALL so very kind and all so very kind to sweet Abbey during her many visits. They continue to care for our other puppy, Jaxon, who continues to thrive and remains in remission from cancer at this time! We have never had a problem getting an appointment, even last minute, and we have had to have several last minute apointments. They have also been accommodating enough to schedule appointments for me with the speciality hospital. We have used the grooming service for both puppies and have been very pleased.

Below is a post from a year or so ago, just to add to that, the whole staff at Forest Hill Irene is full of wonderful, kind caring, professional people from the front desk to the techs to the Doctors! Great group! This is what I wrote before:: Dr Brookshire is wonderful...my 68 pound Samoyed loves him even though Rocky has diabetes that took about year to get under control, as well as urinary tract infections. Rocky has been doing great this last 6-8 months because Dr. Brookshire kept trying different things til we found the right combo. This is a great practice...everyone from from the front desk to the techs to all the Drs are kind, caring and professional. Dr Brookshire is now at Miss State, but Dr Dixon is back on with Rockys care. Hes been treating him for viral dog warts now...my poor pup cant get a break! Rockys so sweet and so fortunate to have caring vets like Dr Dixon to treat him!

Dr Dixon has been terrific for our (actually our daughters) dog--Coachie. A Peek-a-Pom who needed a cyst from his eye removed a few weeks ago. All went perfectly. Then 24 hours before we were to leave on a 2 week cruise Coach had something wrong...we thought we would have to cancel everything...the hospital got him in immediately, Dr Dixon took a very thorough look and found a strained muscle in his back (too much trampoline for the little guy). Gave us the options but encouraged us to go on vacation as we had house sitters who could call him if anything went south...all worked out well. We appreciate Forest Hill for this type of support...we have also left ole Coach with doggie day care and with the other dogs in the kennel on occasion.

Everyone at Forest Hill Animal Hospital goes above and beyond to make sure the animals receive the best possible treatment. When my very young puppy was treated for a bad case of fleas from her previous home, she hadnt yet had her first shots, so she couldnt go in the kennel area with the other dogs. The staff actually took turns carrying her around with a sock of warm rice until I was able to pick her up a couple hours later. They could not have been kinder or more dedicated to treating her. I cant recommend them highly enough. Excellent doctors and a first-rate team of assistants.

Dr. Johnson has taken care of my dogs for years and he has always taken the time to talk to me and explain everything to my satisfaction. Recently my oldest dog had cancer and the time finally came where he needed to be put down. The way Dr. Johnson and the staff handled this emotional situation was outstanding. A few days later I received a letter in the mail from them that contained a paw print of my beloved dog Deezel. I look forward to many more years of excellent service with my two current dogs, Catie and Canyon who are brother and sister and were rescue puppies.
