This place is all about money. Save your wallet and go somewhere else. I had been taking my 16 yr old cat there for a couple of months and a couple thousand dollars later. My cat in is kidney failure. I called to get an appt and they said the earliest I could come in was 4:00. Of course they suggested I drop my cat off so the Dr can look at him. 4:00 they told was too LATE to get blood results back today. So I dropped my cat off around 9:30. Didnt want to, but I did. The Dr calls around 11:20 to tell me they cant be sure of whats going on without blood work, which I knew they would say that. They always say that. So at $169.00 I tell them to go ahead and do the blood work. Now the Dr tells me that they would have the results by 2:00. Well 2:30 rolls around and I call and they tell me that they are just then getting ready to sedate my cat so they can draw blood. I told them to stop and I was coming to get my cat. When I got there they handed me my records and I stood there waiting for my Springer. I asked whats taking so long and the girl told me he was a bit sleepy. What? So I said oh so you did sedate him? And she said they were just starting to gas him. So I asked the girl how long it took to get the results and she said about twenty minutes. I asked why then couldnt I just have brought him in at four. Well she said that was too late if they had to send the blood work back EVEN THOUGH I WAS TOLD ON THE PHONE THAT THE BLOOD WORK WOULDNT HAVE TO GET SENT OUT. These people are a joke and all theyre after is your MONEY. Save yourself and your pet the mental anguish and the high cost and go somewhere else.

When I moved here Before Hurricane Katrina I brought my old baby girl and they were great. We said we would never replace her. But we adopted a Pit Bull who we love and spoil. They are wonderful with our boy. I have had to board my dog for my job at times. He gets excited to go. That tells you they are good people. I think I spoil my boy more then they do but they take wonderful care of his health.I love Dr Joey I had paid $$$ for my boy surgery but hes running like a champion. I have been to other Veterinary clinics and got bad vibes I have always felt welcomed here. And it was so nice to know that even though my old dog past away they still had us in the system 7 years later.

I tried 2 other veterinarians in the area. One took me to the cleaners and the other one just gives a simple injection. When I went to Dr. Joey he took the time to explain everything he needed to do to see what was going on with Duke. The entire staff was very compassionate and understanding mine and Dukes personal situtation. I will be moving my records to Beatline Oaks Veterinary. I know my current vet will try to make me feel quilty for leaving.

This is the BEST clinic we have used. My dog gets anxious and is not social at all. I shared this information with the staff and they made sure that they weighed my dog and put us in a exam room right away instead of waiting in the waiting area. They took very good care of my dog and made sure she was comfortable. The entire staff is awesome. I highly recommend this clinic.

We recently move to Long Beach and just happened upon this clinic. What a wonderful place. Kind, caring, and willing to do what ever it takes to make the situation work for the customer and the pet. This is obviously not just a for profit operation. These people really want to be with the animals and help. I have never been to a better Vet!

I brought my pup in today and was greeted and promptly taken back to a room. The doctor didnt beat around the bush and got straight to the point, he diagnosed my puppy and we came up with a solution to treat her the best way possible without cleaning out my wallet. Very understanding and compassionate :) will be back with the rest of my pets.

The Doctor and staff have shown true concern for the proper care and comfort of my dogs over the years while keeping in mind I have a limited budget. I recommend this Hospital for your various pet needs! I have noticed some unusual pets under their care such as; gerbils, fish, and turtles, besides the usual cats and dogs.

I just adopted her from HSSM and this was one of the vets on the list for a free vet visit, it was close to the house and seemed nice enough. The staff and the vet were very friendly but they didnt seem very knowledgeable. They were pretty pricy too....Im not saying this is a bad vet, it just wasnt my cup of tea.

This was our first time visiting and it was a door. The staff was nothing but nice and understanding when we had to put our beloved golden down. Cudos to the staff!
