Switched providers because I felt like I was getting nickeled and dimed everytime I went. Ive never been there and just paid for a check up. There was always some other "high priced" service they wanted to add on and my vet bill was always super high. When I called in to fill a prescription for my cat, who was seen there a few months prior and given a presecription by them, I was told they would not fill it after that unless I brought her in. That to me again felt like they wanted more money from me, rather than concern for my pet. Had they suggested theyd like to see her again to see how shes doing, I would have brought her in. Ordering me to do so is what turned me completely off. I decided to write this review after North Side Animal Clinic called me to release the records to a new vet. They asked me if I was going to stay with them or close the account, they sounded really snooty when I said to close the account. It just reinforced the reasoning of why I made the best decision to find a better vet. If they cared they would have asked "why" and maybe try to take into consideration why they are losing a patient.

I have been taking 2 of my kitties there for over a year now and they have been wonderful and caring people to work with. I get phone calls checking on them to make sure theyre ok. I have had emergency situations with one of my kitties and they were so kind and so helpful. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a caring vet as well as vet techs. The prices in my opinion are reasonably priced as I am on a lower income budget I have searched around and found them to be reasonable. Will not ever search again for a great clinic.

Dr. Brooks is amazing! We have been taking our dog to Dr. Brooks for 8 years. During that time he has had 3 surgeries - two on his feet to getting into craziness, as dogs do. Dr. Brooks and her staff are excellent. They are knowledgable, conscientious, and so kind. Dr. Brooks has a gentle, yet confident demeanor that our dog responds well to. He seems to like going to the vet! I highly recommend Northside Animal Hospital. Thank you Dr. Brook for all you do!

I made an appointment 3 days in advance to have the vet check a kitten out. When I got there the day of they told me that my appointment was for a half hour earlier, and I would have to reschedule. For another 3 days. She wouldnt listen, wouldnt hear me out, and rude with a smile turned me away. My big brother was there and did not like the way she treated me. They no longer will have any of my business.

I tragically lost my dog suddenly and needed help with her remains to be cremated. The staff at Northside were very helpful and courteous with my grief. They accomodated my situation with respect and empathy. I even received a sympathy card too. It was a simple gesture that really was heartfelt and well-received in my time of grief.

I had my first trip to Northside Animal Hospital yesterday as my dog seemed to have a UTI. I was very impressed with the staff and Dr. Brooks. I am new to Madison and am happy to have found a reliable vet. The bill was also much less than what I would have paid at my previous vet in Milwaukee.
