First time patient. Was referred from a friend who goes to Dr. McCray recently. Visit was today. There was a little mixup on my paperwork, but quickly fixed. And, I was late today (called in advance to alert) and they still saw me reasonably quickly with no hassle. I was truly helped by each person I worked with: - Receptionist: very kind, so easy to work with, helped me with several questions - Nurse: Nurse was patient with my questions and also tipped me off on how to save money on some needed medications. Ended up saving about 50%. That alone made my day. - Doctor McCray: Amazing, humble doctor. He is smart, but also gave me everything I needed to know in terms I could understand. He helped me make decisions on what to do with objective analysis. Love this doctor. - Lobby: Had wi fi, so I brought my laptop and worked while I was waiting (wasnt long). Ive never had a single better experience in my life going to a doctors office. I will continue to go.

I have been a patient of Dr. McCray since he opened his practice. Over the years, there have been issues with the front office folks but Dr. McCray has always been great. He is a very knowledgeable Dr. and is a student of his profession in every light. I have had Dr. McCray tell me he was going to do a bit of research and get back to me which is exactly what he did. Now that his practice has the business side taken care of and Dr. McCray can just be a Dr. I have seen the level after care only go up. I could not be happier and would refer my personal contacts without hesitation.

Dr. McCray is very nice and kind, and he spends a good amount of time with patients listening to their concerns. But I cant say the same about his stuff. They never keep their promises and call you back!!! I had to call the office 2 times to ask for someone to tell me if my lab work was good. The billing is bad - keep making mistakes. I just dont understand why the doctor cant hire a one good person who would run his back office operations to turn his office to an exceptional place!

Dr. McCray is very personable as well as his staff. I am not certain if the ladies currently working the front desk are the same ladies negatively mentioned in a couple of comments but I would tend to think they are not; as my experience was pleasant! I immediately liked Dr. McCray; hes down to earth and easy to talk to. I highly recommend him and did so to my mother and she has an appointment scheduled!

while dr. mccray is nice enough, his practice is horrendous. the staff and billing are rude, misfile stuff all the time and will not work toward resolution at all. futhermore, dr. mccray does not seem to give well-reasonsed thought to his medical advice. i would avoid dr. mccray and bartonville family medical at all costs.
