You know it amazes me the things will say about a doctor on the internet. Heres what I know. I had a foot rash here a while back and three specialists and a dermatologist couldnt figure out what it was. A friend of the family said I should go see Dr. Stokes. Hes kinda to the point but isnt that what you want from a busy doctor? Anyway... They did some blood work. The nurse Linda who works there was one of the sweetest people Ive ever dealt with at a Doctors office. The staff was real nice. The doctor seemed like a busy doctor but he took a blood sample and in less than an hour he had an answer to my foot problem. It was a blood born fungus. He gave me a shot and some pills and a cream and in a few days my problem was gone. Now I had been dealing with this for over two months and was in and out of doctors offices from kingwood to downtown. And none of those other doctors could figure out my problem. Say what you will about Stokes but he is a benefit to Cleveland and one of the best doctors in the region. I dont personally care if he doesnt win a Nice Guy of the year award, so long as he can get me back to healthy and doesnt charge me an arm and a leg. And for the record, Stokes was real nice and informative to me. Thats my two cents anyway.

Done with this office. My husband and I have each been there 3 times since January. Out of those 6 visits, blood was taken 5 times (appx $150 EACH tume in lab fees). The office ladies schedule appointments before he even gets there. Our first visit was an hour wait after our schedules time, 2nd was an hour and a half. The only reason we got in on time on our 3rd visit was because our friend told his daughter (who is an employee) to make sure we got in on tume or we were done. Found out today that the doctor cancelled my husbands blood pressure prescription the SAME DAY HE WROTE IT. For those of you not on BP meds, these prescriptions are goid for 6 months unless the patient has an issue with them, which he hasnt. After calling today, the office lady: #1 refused to let my husband talk with the nurse, #2 refused to ASK the nurse or doctor if this was some kind of mistake, #3 told him he would have to come in and have more blood drawn ($25 + $150 visit) in order to get a new prescription. Its always reassuring to know that the lady, who cant even schedule appointments for when the doctor is there, is taking care of your medical needs. Seeing a new doctor today.

It is always hard to choose a doctor when you move to a new city. I stopped in Dr. Stokes modern office and was impressed with efficiency of the staff. They gave me all the forms in advance of my first appointment. The well organized staff keep things moving all the time. When my wife and I got to our appointments with Dr. Stokes, he was friendly and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time getting to know our medical history. He know a great deal about diabetes, which is something I have to deal with. After the appointment, prescriptions were handled quickly and efficiently through phone calls to the office. Update 5/2016: Dr Stokes, and his fantastic staff (especially Nurse Linda) have saved my life. In office ultrasound revealed liver tumors. Referred to MD Anderson, I had metastatic cancer that would have otherwise have been overlooked. Dr Stokes has treated my diabetes. He is incredibly knowledgeable about this condition. My diabetes is completely controlled, and because of his training on the MD Anderson staff, he supports my involvement in a clinical trial. I have never had a primary care physician more competent and likeable.

This man does not even deserve a gold star, I feel like im giving him some sort of credit that he does not deserve. One word comes to mind when I think about Dr GEORGE STOKES and it is so vial I can not post it. Lets just put it this way, he cares so much for his patients that he lets his M.A. do all the work, someone who is not licensed to treat or do procedures is in charge of your healthcare. All he does is walk around in all of his majesty and degrades his staff. The picture in his lobby is HIGH-LAY-REOUS! I start chuckling everytime I think about it, there he is sitting with his botched barbie wife, his kids and his awesome preacher hair..LMAO!!
