I have been an RN since 1986 and have worked in ICUs in 3 large teaching hospitals. I have had conversations about patients with a lot of physicians. As a home health nurse I speak with doctors frequently. I have found the winner of the most rude and unprofessional doctor of all. Dr Tom Jones was on call for my patients MD today. I called him from my patients home because I was concerned about this her vital signs and a UTI that had become worse despite starting antibiotics 4 days ago. She has chronic medical problems that make these issues more serious than in a healthy person. Aside from questioning why my patient requires home health, and twice asking if I thought it was necessary to call the on call physician on a Saturday, he said about my patient (who is in VERY fragile health) that she is "probably a known frequent flyer who goes to the ER all the time because she thinks she cant live outside of a facility." Apparently he didnt hear me at the beginning of the call when I said I told her to go to the ER but she really didnt want to go so thats why I was calling the dr- to see what he thought. I guess what he thought was that he was too busy to be disturbed with doing his job- job he chose, which is all about taking care of people.

This review is not for the doctor as I did not have the opportunity to meet with him; however, I just called in to be a new patient and the women who answered the phone was extremely rude and ended the short call by hanging up on me. I guess they are not interested in new patients because they are already busy enough.

I have been a patient of Dr Jones for many, many years. He always takes the time to listen to me and find out what my concerns are. He is the most caring doctor I have ever been to. He has a great staff working for him as well. If you are looking for a doctor, I would highly recommend Dr Jones!

Dr. Jones is wonderful. He is willing discuss the issues with the patient, has a wonderful staff, gets you in when you need to be seen, and truly cares for his patients. Thank you for all that you do Dr. Jones

Dr. Jones is a good doctor but his staff are incompetent and very rude most of the time Ive had to deal with them.
