I fell down 6 weeks ago and feared I had seriously injured my back. My family doctor was too far away and too busy to see me. So, right away, I needed to find a new doctor thats a very intimidating task! When I called Dr. Koneys office, they immediately squeezed me in the very same day I called. Her staff works as a team and in 5 minutes, Dr. Koney was carefully checking my general overall health and especially my lower back. She prescribed x-rays and pain killers. I immediately walked across the parking lot to the x-ray lab.(No getting into the car and driving to a far away off-site lab!) Within a few hours, Dr. Koney had the x-ray results and was able to give me the best options on how to mend my very sore back. A week later, I had a follow up visit and all was healing well. Two weeks later, I had a general yearly health examination since I was a new patient and because, as of now, my former doctor hasnt sent my requested records to Dr. Koney. Dr. Koney does not rush you in and out. She patiently wants to know the status of her patients health. I am sorry I had to find Dr. Koney because of my accident, but I am very grateful to have found her and to have received her excellent, caring service.

I have been dealing with several issues for years. High cholesterol, etc. The primary issue of contention was a old injury that occasionally flared up I asked her for a non-narcotic medicine and she told me "I dont want to be one of those doctors that just writes prescriptions". She was unable to expand upon this ridiculous notion,. The era of people depending on their dr to be their guide for general health has passed. Anyone can look up how to maintain a proper diet and learn about what conditions, symptoms, treatments, etc exist online. People depend on doctors now to Give Them Medicine to deal with the problems that cannot be corrected through the proliferation of information via the internet . Im not sure what else one sees a dr for. She was completely unhelpful. She told me she is wary anytime a patient asks for a specific medicine (and any proactive patient would know what they had tried before and had success with.) One of the most worthless interactions Ive had with anyone in the medical community in the last decade (maybe longer). **** Look for another Doctor and dont waste your time and energy dealing with a worthless health professional.

Dr. Koney has been and continues to be my favorite GP. In the never-ending quest of living a healthy life, I feel she is on my side: she listens and works with me through all of my questions and concerns. Partly because of her skill, I usually dont get to see her but once a year for my routine checkup, but I always look forward to the appointment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a general practitioner.

Dr is fine, but the staff needs some help. The staff has made appts and then closed early for the day, not telling you about it. They dont always call to confirm appts, and just now I was hung up on after 2 business days of trying to get through to someone. I called back and got a busy signal (just in time for lunch break). There is no voicemail box or web portal to get in touch with the office.

+A Google User Hey, Im a physician too and I know thats because you cant insert a catheter in the office, actually! Hope youre doing okay now. My wife and I have been going here for years for a great GP. Shes always very attentive and explains everything thoroughly to my wife; she is very invested in the physical well being of patients and always talks to my daughter and I if we have questions.

Had severe damage from a badly installed catheter. I had to insist on being released with a leg bag after 4 days when 2 days was sufficient. Dr Koney refused to replace the defective catheter. I had to go to emergency clinic at Baylor hospital the next morning to get the catheter replaced. Communication with this doctor was not satisfactory.
