I will always be grateful to Dr. Rajan for saving my kittens life and mine. I was desperate and finding this clinic and Dr. Rajan was a true miracle. I found my two babies the day they were born. Their mom abandoned them, they were unclean and with the umbilical cord still attached, she gave birth to five kittens. Unfortunately three died but the two kittens that survived have been with me since. I noticed the boy had trouble breathing and made weird noises i took him to the Economy Vet Clinic and the vet told me he was too young for antibiotic, when he was old enough the dr gave him antibiotics for a URI however he was still having problems I took him again after the antibiotics and dr gave me a different medicine told me to wait a month and if no improvement he was going to do some X-rays. After a month I took him to a different clinic Houston Humane Society to get him neutered and check his breathing. The Vet there came back with the X-rays and told me to put him to sleep, he was born with a Diaphragmatic Hernia and basically his stomach was in his lungs. She told me he was not going to survive surgery but I refuse to put him to sleep. She told me to take him to a specialist. I talked to probably 4 different hospitals and many clinics. I was told surgery was going to cost between 5-10k and there was a very small chance he will even survive. One day while reading a review from a different clinic I read about Palm to paws, the lady was referred to this clinic and she talked great about it so I gave it a try. I called around 9 am and the girl that answered told me to bring my baby around 11. As soon as I walked inside I felt something, like a relief. All the girls were so extremely nice and sweet I can not even explain how beautiful and soothing the vibe in this clinic. Dr. Rajan checked his X-rays and explained his condition and his options. He was straight forward, knowledgeable, compassionate and honest. He told me that most likely my baby was not going to make it but ensured me he was going to do everything possible to save him and fix his condition. And he did, in the middle of the surgery he called me to give me an update and things were not looking great but he was going to do everything possible to safe him. It was a complicated and long surgery. Dr. Rajan didnt do everything possible he did the impossible, he saved him and the surgery was a success. Till this day I dont know how he made it possible, my 4 month old kitten still alive and recuperating. The girls there were so compassionate they treated me and my baby like we were family. I think Dr. Rajan is an angel, they feed the street cats, he fixes them, gives them their shots its unbelievable. His prices are extremely affordable. He charged close to nothing compared to the thousands other hospitals and clinics wanted to charge me. I will never forget how the Dr. called me at 7 am the day after surgery to make sure Leo was still alive and doing ok. I will never be able to pay him for what he did. I love my kittens so much its crazy and was seriously depressed and desperate, like I said Dr. Rajan gave me back my peace, my smile and my baby. I can go on and on. Thank you so much for everything!

The best clinic in town, hands down! When my little Jack Russell mix developed an odd limp, I was honestly already in despair over the suspicion it would require surgery to correct it. I work in a boarding kennel and groom shop, so Ive heard plenty of horror stories about the costs of veterinary care. But I was referred to Palm to Paws as a good, reasonable choice. Dr Rajan was incredibly astute. He knew what the trouble was before I had even finished describing the video I had taken of her walk, though he also examined her leg to confirm his thoughts, and let me feel where the joint was displacing. She had a luxating patella. I have clients who have had to have spend thousands on the corrective surgery indicated by this condition for their own pets. Palm to Paws quote was a third of the next lowest price I had heard reported to me, and a fourth of most of my clients have had to pay. And Ive also heard from other veterinarians themselves what an adept surgeon Dr Rajan is, so I knew the work would be top notch. I am a receptionist with two cats and three dogs (all rescues ... adopt dont shop!). Like a lot of animal lovers, my heart is far bigger than my wallet. Its so hard these days as we working class people feel we are being edged out of being able to afford many of lifes enjoyments, pets being one. So, finding good resources is vital. And heres the other secret about Palm to Paws. Im usually kind of prepared that when I find those good resources that the service might be sort of shabby. But Palm to Paws is the most delightful exception to this treatment I have ever experienced! I was treated like I had just paid an $80 office fee instead of $20. Marina at the front desk might very well be the kindest hearted person I have ever dealt with in a service capacity--I mean like in my entire lifetime. All of the other techs are very sweet and accommodating too, even when a foster dog of mine puddled up an entire exam room on her very first day in my care. Dr Rajans calm, patient manner was so reassuring to my sometimes skittish little girl that he was able to bring out her sweet side, which is usually hidden behind fearful snappishness. Her more defensive nature was unfortunately on display when Katniss had her final follow up visit with Dr Dev, who she hadnt met yet, but Dr Dev too, was very patient with Katniss not quite stellar behavior, and her gentle amusement was soothing to my embarrassed feelings as well. This clinic is really just a great place, full of people who honestly care for animals over profit, and I am so grateful not only to be a client of thiers but just to know there are still people like this in the world.

Got off to a rocky start. Called last week because my cat injured his foot pretty bad and an emergency vet had already recommended amputation. Due to cost, she referred me here. When I called, I was told to bring him in between 12 and 2 last Friday (I called that morning) and they would examine him and see about scheduling surgery. That was all that was said. So my husband and daughter arrived at 12:45 PM and were turned away. They were told there were too many walk ins and they could not be seen, even with our pets emergency situation. The girl at the desk advised that they should have called before hand. My husband told her that I called that morning and was told to bring the cat in, and the girl said, well you should have called before you left your house. Needless to say, we were not pleased. So I called and asked the same girl why she didnt give me a heads up to be early, that they were a walk in clinic, that they would be busy, etc. She just kept saying, we are a walk in only clinic, we dont take appointments, there is nothing I could do. I again explained to her that I called that morning and she gave me no sort of warning. She just said that was the way it was. No apology. Anyway, hands tied because this is in fact the lowest price I could find for an amputation, and our funds are limited. I arrived Saturday morning at 9:30 AM waiting for the 11:00 AM walk in opening. I was there before anyone, even the employees. Two other cars arrived during my wait and I was glad I got there when I did. The vet arrived around 10:15 AM and immediately invited us all in, with no one else even at work yet. He was able to see my cat and immediately discussed what needed to be done in preparation for surgery. Because they do not accept Care Credit (which was a surprise, as the referring vet told me they did) he even agreed to a further reduction of the cost since I would now be paying cash. He cleaned and bandaged my cat, prescribed medication and scheduled surgery. After the initial confusion and disappointment, I am very happy with the way it all turned out. I do wish they would be a little more informative on the phone for new patients who are not aware of their practice. The website says they accept appointments, the door says they accept appointments, I HAVE an upcoming appointment! But she insisted that they do not accept appointments. Highly recommend if you are low on funds and need help for your animal, but ask questions so you dont have the same situation as I did.
