Setrag Dermendjian is egotistical arrogant and unprofessional...just to put it lightly. This place is a SCAM. I have never written a review, but I thought I would warn anyone thinking about going here. I just moved to the area, and decided to chose this Office because of the Insurance I have which is Oraquest Insurance and Humble Dentist Assoc said they accept my Insurance plan. Under the Schdule of Benefits Plan I "thought" I would be covered for my services with Humble Dental since they accepeted this Insurance. I was due for my "yearly dental checkup" so I over looked the initial long wait which was 2 hours. From the seating area I could hear who I thought was a Dentist scolding both the receptionists that he couldnt take anymore clients because he didnt have a lunch break yet. He sounded very egotistical and the girls didnt say much but told him ok just to apease him. And when he walked away, I could see them look at each other and roll their eyes. I was finally called back in which I sat for another 30 minutes. And finally the Dentist came in to examine my teeth. It took maybe 3 minutes for Setrag Dermendjian, D.D.S to tell me EVERY FILLING AND CAP that I have in my mouth needs to be RE-DONE and I should be so lucky to have him work on my teeth!!! He said the ONLY reason he is there at Humble Dental Associates is for his GREEN CARD-THATS IT! He was very egotistical and cocky about how great of work he does. He said I needed 8 caps re-done and I should get them "while I had the chance" because I will "never see him again after he gets his GREEN CARD". He said there is ONLY ONE PORCELAIN CAP HE USES (AT THE TIME I DIDNT KNOW- BUT IT JUST HAPPENS TO BE THE MOST EXPENSIVE)! (And not covered by my Insurance)! Im taking it all in what he is telling me, but the real shocker came when the receptionists gave me the estimate for the Porcelain Crowns. $9253!!! BTW the receptionist said this was a good price because it was a discounted price. I was shocked and said there must be a mistake because my insurance covers Porcelain Crowns. The receptionist dismissed what I was trying to say and she said "No, its a discount card". I immediately called my Insurance Company and they said the receptionist is incorrect and found another Dentist who accepts Oraquest Insurance. My Insurance Company told me to get my x-rays from Humble Dental Assoc. since they were paid for by my insurance company. When I called Humble Dentist they said it would be up to a two week wait, plus $25 for the x-rays! OK. I called the new Dentists Office to make my new appointment and they reassured me they accept Oraquest and "YES, Porcelain Crowns are covered under the plan". What a nightmare experience that was. Never again. If you go here, bring your Schedule of Benefits with you. Hopefully you will not need a Porcelain Crown!

I am tremendously pleased with my visit to Humble Dental Associates. I interacted with several individuals throughout my time spent there on 8/25/15 and ALL were pleasant experiences. I had x-rays done by Suzette (she was the Hygienist but was assisting the Dentist which I appreciated). I had an initial exam done by Dr. Hamburg. I expressed concern to him about a bridge which was put in by another dentist which was starting to rock. He asked if I wanted the situation handled today and I said I did. Thankfully they were able start the process to remove the defective bridge and fit me for a new permanent one while giving me a temporary one for the two-week wait while the permanent was being made. I was able to discuss my payment options right in the Dentist chair with Shaunda (Im sure I misspelled it, sorry), who was very patient and friendly. Then I was taken to have my teeth cleaned by the Hygienist Suzette. I havent had my teeth cleaned so thoroughly by a hygienist in over a year and Ive been to two other dental hygienists. Not only that, she was personable, she made sure I was comfortable and she was genuinely friendly. While I was getting my teeth cleaned, Dr Beck came in and introduced himself. He let me know that hed be the one working on my bridge. The personal side of this dentist practice is impeccable. After my cleaning, my teeth actually felt cleaner. I was treated very well by Dr. Beck. He explained everything that would take place and made sure I was comfortable with it all. He also kept checking to make sure I was still comfortable throughout the procedure. At one point the electricity was temporarily knocked out, possibly because of a storm outside. Dr. Beck again reassured me until the electricity was back on and my procedure could be finished. Even Dr. Hamburg (who was on his way out for a little while) stopped by after the lights came back on to check on me and assure me that my procedure should be finished soon, in case the lights were about to go out again. I have been taken for a ride financially at other dentist offices when they realized my dental insurance covered as much as it did. Ive been lied to regarding unnecessary procedures and when my original bridge was put in, I was charged for a better bridge which I chose myself, however when the bridge was being installed, I noticed I was being given the inferior bridge which cost half the price. Then I had to jump through hoops for months in order to get back the difference on my care credit card. Im so thrilled that I found Humble Dental Associates.

Better review late than never! This is a review for 2 experiences, so 2 long years of great satisfaction. I hate to drive on cloudy days. But I did from my new home to this place. Why? Because not only are they welcoming and professional, but they actually do a wonderful job at caring for your teeth. And they are respectful of your time and wont offer you fake or unnecessary services. Best dental hygienist that Ive ever had: Crystal! Yup. Thats her name. She will take her time and get your teeth crystal clear of intruders! Her technique is SPOT ON!!! The ladies at the reception? Fantastic people who will make you come back just by their kindness, engaging conversations and fast service. The doctors? Spot on as far as advice and recommendations. Answered my questions patiently and clearly. No rush and no super words. Unless I actually moved to a completely different region, I WILL DRIVE to Humble Dental Associates! Your bucco-dental care is a lifelong one, and you must get the right people to handle it with you, AND in a comfortable atmosphere. Youve got that perfect combination at this place. Thanks to all of you for your hard work. I still benefit from it, as many others do, and I do not take it for granted.

Dr. Dermendjian is someone I could call a friend in the short time he has been taking care of me. He is very assuring and his work is excellent. When I entered his room for a simple wisdom tooth removal I was extremely nervous and scared. My blood pressure was skyrocketing and we almost had to call off the procedure for another date. His words and smile calmed me down and the surgery went well with no complications. He said that I wouldnt feel pain for the extraction and I that I wouldnt put under. I was nervous at first but I did not feel a thing, I wasnt even sure if he was making an incision or not. Dr. Dermendjian made sure to follow up and even gave me his phone number in the event something went wrong. Yesterday, I got another two wisdom teeth pulled and it went well with no complications. He even called me in the morning today to make sure everything was okay and that I was not in pain. Dr. Dermendjian really makes a personal connection with his patients, trying to help them as much as possible. I would trust my life to Dr. Dermenjian and he has really made a good impression on me. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist/specialist. I am really lucky I have such a skilled doctor taking care of me.
