If youre needing crowns, you should probably go elsewhere. I went in needing a crown for my front tooth and got convinced that in order to make them look right, both front teeth needed to be done..was told I needed a root canal in the other tooth anyway, so I went for it even though I really was going to struggle paying. After initial visit, I went back 3x bc the crowns were never right-the first time they were extremely dark and shaped weird. I was adamant that they MUST look the same-theyre my 2 front teeth! But no, after the 4th visit with the lab coming to the dentist and working chair side, they still couldnt get them to match. The color is finally right, but the shape is nothing the same-one looks totally different than the other. I had to just deal with it bc I was told that if I needed them redone again, I would have to pay the $175 lab fee, even though it wasnt my fault that the lab guys couldnt seem to get it right. And to top it off, one of them is well-glazed and the other one feels rough-something I couldnt tell until I got home and brushed my teeth really well. I chose this dentist bc I had been here a couple times before and was impressed with Dr Moss (I still think hes great), but like I said..If youre needing crowns, especially front ones, you should probably go elsewhere. One day Ill finish nursing school and hopefully be able to get these fixed..until then Ill be unhappy:-(

I had a great experience with Dossett Dental and Dr. Sokransky. My dad is an orthodontist, and Ive got very high standards for dental care. After visiting another dental office for a routine cleaning last summer, I was so turned off because I felt like they were just trying to make money. I mean, I get that this is a business, but I feel like patient care should come first. When I called to make my first appointment for a cleaning, I let them know over the phone that Id had this negative experience with another dentist in McKinney, that my dad is an orthodontist, yada yada yada. They were kind, professional, and reassuring. The office itself is very unassuming. Its in a shopping center, isnt fancy inside, but its conveniently located, and they know what theyre doing. Dr. Sokransky wound up being just what I would expect from my dentist. He was gentle, conservative in his treatment approach, explained everything he was doing as we went along, and checked on how I was doing throughout. He even referred me out to an endodontist for the internal bleaching I was interested in, as he thought it would be more cost-effective for me. I would definitely refer others to this office. I give Dr. Sokransky an A+. Additionally, the staff and technicians were knowledgeable, friendly, and warm.

I wish I would have read the reviews first. Dr. Johnson also had a disciplinary action against him (you can check the TX state licensing board for details - public information). The hygienist made changes to my plan of care without knowledge/consent from the dentist (recommending a deep cleaning after beginning my surface cleaning). She was very rough with the quick cleaning (it was painful), making my gums bleed, and telling me the bleeding is a sign that I need the deep cleaning. My gums have never bled with brushing, flossing, or at any other dentist visit.... I have been to the dentist every 6 months for as long as I can remember and have never had an experience like this (only changed dentists because I moved out of state). I have never had any pain after a cleaning and filling, and my mouth is hurting 3 days later. Appeared to be VERY financially driven, and I cannot wait to find a new dental practice. I can only hope I dont have issues caused from lack of quality of care received from this practice.

I made appointments for my husband and I to get a check up at Dossett Dental. Due to us being new to the area I had seen this place and thought we would try it. Before hand I had called to see if the insurance we had was in network the front desk woman insured me over the phone our insurance was in network. The day my husband and I arrived for our appointment we were alone in the office. While filling out our first time paperwork information the front desk woman comes in singing wrap music on the top of her lungs, should have been my first sign to leave. 10 minutes later we were sent in different rooms to get started. The women who started to take pictures of my teeth got done and waited in the room with me for the dentist to come in. As we waited she was on snapchat taking selfies of me and texting the entire time while setting in a chair. I would just like to say i never write reviews on companies but today is my first. I will NEVER go back to this place and neither should you.

asked them to cancel my appt - will find another dentist. I find this experience extremely HORRIBLE!!!!!!! For the last 2 years Dossett calls my home wanting to schedule my daughter for her cleaning. I have repeatedly told them she does not live with me anymore. They STILL call. Also, when they call me, they call me by my ex-husbands wifes name since she is the primary insurance holder for my son. I have REPEATEDLY asked them to change me as the parent on file SEVERAL times. They promised they would. I got a call today to confirm cleaning appt for my son, and yes, you guessed it - they called me by the ex-husbands wifes name AGAIN. Iunprofessional and unorganized. Imagine if they cant get your name right what they might do to your teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. My husband went in with a dull pain. Not once did anyone ask what level of pain he was having, but he was told he need a root canal and therapy that would cost over $4000. He decided to get a second opinion because of the outrageous cost, though he had already paid quite a bit for the therapy (close to 2,000). When we decided to hold off, the attitudes of those working with use change immediately from pleasant to cold. Then, it took a LOT of convincing to get them to send on the x-rays to another dentist (though this is considered a professional thing to do). Good thing we got the second opionion because he did NOT need a root canal. They are in it for $$$$$, not to help.

I have been going to Dosset Dental Clinic for almost 2 years now and with every treatment they made sure of damaging something else so I go back to them regularly, recently I went with some gum ache or could have been tooth ache and the only solution I got from them was to break two of my crowns and do a root canal and put back two new crowns @ $ 10000.00 cost at least, I asked the doctor if he could start with some kind of medication but he refused to do so and wanted me to go with root canal, I went to pharmacy and took some pain killer and used it for seven days now and the pain is gone and my teeth are fine and I can eat and drink with no problems. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE !!!!!!!!
