We moved here a year and a half ago and didnt have a dentist. When I noticed Potranco Smiles opening extremely close to my home, we made our appointments. The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful getting our insurance taken care of. My son and I both had appointments and they got us in at the same time. We had Netflix to watch as we waited in our chairs and the wait wasnt long. We did x-rays rather quickly and then the dentist came in. He was very friendly and had impeccable chairside manner. He explained every part of the exam and the findings. He told me a filling had fallen out and he was able to fill it the same day! My son had two surface cavities in baby teeth that we decide to fill. They were so good with my son. Love the service and they were extremely affordable as well. I love that they didnt do unnecessary work just to earn more money. Honesty wins in my book. I highly recommend Potranco Smiles

I took my children in for our first visit and we all loved our experience! From the first phone call setting up our appointments, until we walked out the door, the staff was very personable and professional. Dr. Thakkar also took the time to casually speak to us making our visit more comfortable. My daughter was very nervous but he and his staff were very kind and patient and explained everything they were going to do making sure she understood and was at ease. I was also pleased with how Dr. Thakkar not only explained procedures, but also allowed me to see what he was doing while he worked. I have never looked forward to returning to the dentist until now. We will definitely return and refer others! :) Valerie V.

After not being to a dentist in nearly 8 years, I decided it was time to make sure everything was ok. I elected to go to one of those practices that offered free beer, soda, or wine (not mentioning names but the initials are Dr Dental) while you wait... I went in with no issues, and came out with pain beyond belief! This after they told me I had no major problems. That being said, it took me 9 months to try the whole dental experience again. Potranco Smiles has made me change my mind about seeing the dentist. Theyve proven that a good practice not only leaves your mouth feeling clean, but can do so pain free. Thank you Dr. Cortez, I look forward to seeing you often! (Hopefully no more than every six months though)

Theyre alright. I set up an appointment for my husband there on a Saturday which is convenient. I was disappointed because I took in a mailer they had sent that said "free teeth whitening or $99 first visit". We have insurance that pays for 2x a year cleaning so I told them when I made the appointment that I had the card and he wanted whitening. I gave them the card when I got there and told the receptionist again that he wanted the whitening. After his appointment I asked him how the whitening when, he said, oh they didnt do that.

Awesome staff and service! Highly recommend Potranco Smiles! The waiting room was nice and comfortable while watching TV. As I come in, we start the process of x-rays, examination, services/treatment. I was very pleased with the outcome. My husband retired from the military and came back home to San Antonio. We are always working but finally finding time to take care of ourselves. I received that excellent care from Dhaval Thakkar and his staff. Thanks to my daughter for referring us to Potranco Smiles. From the moment I walking in the staff greeted me with a friendly smile and were very kind . Dr. Shastri was amazing and professional. He took his time in explaining in details. His dental assistant did such a great job and made me feel very comfortable. They had great teamwork and the Dr. praised his assistant for awesome prep work. I really appreciated how the Dr worked with his staff in a friendly demeanor. Overall I was extremely satisfied and I would definitely recommend Potranco Smiles.

Im generally terrified of dentists, but Dr. Cortez at Potranco Smiles has a gentle, down to earth yet direct and concerned way about him. Since a recent dental emergency, he has been treating a tooth that might otherwise have been lost, and I couldnt be more pleased with the care Ive received. As a bonus, Mari, at the front desk, has shown incredible kindness since my very first phone call. I definitely recommend Potranco Smiles without hesitation.

I have gone to the same dentist for over 25 years and having to change dentists is very difficult. (we moved from out of town) I would definitely recommend Potranco Smiles for all ages. My three boys ages 1, 7 and 13 all enjoyed their experience and even asked to return to this office. Our family will be patients here from now on. I was really nervous about our first appointment because we are a military family and had the most amazing dentist at our last duty station. All of the nerves immediately went away after we walked in and were greeted with smiles from the receptionists. I love the fact that Dr. Thakkar and his team throughly explained every single step of the process. Their office is very comfortable and Im so happy I found them. My kids and I are very happy.

I absolutely love this dental office the front office was so welcoming. The hours are awesome theyre open till six!!! Also going to start to be available on Saturdays. The hygienist is amazing, she explains everything she is doing to your theeth. Dr.Thakkar his nice I look forward to going back to see him to get all the work Im need done. Oh and the best part is they dont over charge you!! couldnt believe the price very reasonable.

I recently moved to San Antonio, didnt know which dentist to go to.. I actually looked at the reviews and saw so many positive comments for Potranco Smiles.... Everyone was right. The staff is very friendly, the dentist was nice and I loved my hygienist Noel. She did a deep cleaning on my teeth, very patient, explained the procedure as we went along, gentle hand......highly recommend her for cleaning. I found my dentist office.

Highly recommend Potranco Smiles for anyone looking for a new dentist. The front desk staff is friendly and very accommodating. I was received on time for my appointment and the majority of the staff speaks both English and Spanish fluently. The dentist was very informative as to what I was getting done that day and staff explained all the costs. The office is very clean and welcoming.

This was my first visit and took my daughter and myself. They did my cleaning right then and there. Dr Cortez found 2 cavities and was able to handle them within my cleaning visit! Its been such a long time where I went to the dentist and they took care of all my needs during the same visit. The facility is beautiful and high tech. I was very impressed with the overall experience.
