I do not typically write reviews however, I feel obligated to inform people of what happened to me so they do not fall victim to the same situation. The staff at Apollo is very friendly and I have no concerns in that area. However, like many Americans in this day and time, I live on a very strict budget and have to really plan out extra expenses. Before deciding on even getting the testing recommended by my doctor, I called several facilities gave all my insurance information and specifically asked for estimates on what my part of the bill would be for the tests I was needed to get done. I asked abut copays, my part on the percentages etc. Apollo ensured me twice of what my part would be and I saved some money and scheduled the tests. I really tried to cover all the bases knowing my financial situation. I also am fully aware it is an estimate yet I never expected the estimate to be $844.46 off! Now, 6 months later I get a bill and Im told by Apollo Hospital how sorry they are and the staff should not have ensured an amount prior to the tests, but Im still responsible for the extra $844.46. After some homework Ive discovered this happens a lot! I really feel taken advantage of and defeated at this point. So, please be aware this is a major issue and do not fall victim!!!

I arrive 15 minutes earlier than directed, signed in and waited for 1 1/2 hours. Finally someone called my name. She then tells me to ignore the message on my voicemail because they called trying to figure out if I was coming. Someone didnt communicate I was already there. Then Im told we will get the paperwork completed and I would have to wait for a bed. Blood pressure starting to rise! 4 people stuck me 5 times trying to start an IV. Im not a hard stick if you know what you are doing. Off to have the colonoscopy. Nurse anesthetist keeps pushing in propofol asking if I was sleepy yet. No, I wasnt sleepy because the IV was not in a vein! Another stick to start a new line. the doc says let him know when she is ready and she says "ok". He then starts to do the colonoscopy while Im still fully conscious, until I yell to stop that is. Recovery, I feel something damp under my butt and Im told I can get dressed. I was laying in my own liquid stool that had escaped during the procedure ....they couldnt even change a chux. Seriously?!? The nicest thing about the entire day was a sweet CNA who brought me coffee and wheeled me out to the car.

My wife had a procedure performed at Apollo Hospital in The Woodlands in 11/2014 which they filed with my insurance company in the amount of $12K. We paid all bills as received including a copay of $550 at the the time of service. Just recently, 9/2016, I received a bill from Apollo Hospital billing in Pittsburgh showing that the procedure was $17K, that we had paid nothing to them, and we owed them $582. This happens too often.

Beware they will never get their bill right. You have to pay up front for any procedure then 9 months later they bill you for the money you have already paid them. The Doctors and staff are great but there billing department is terrible you can never speak to anyone. I plan to just stay away from Apollo hospital

Stay away. Too many problems with them when it comes to finances. They do not know what they are doing. Billed and rebilled and rebilled. Actually they deserve no stars. Next year mammogram done at Memorial Herman where I started. Should not of listened to my oncologist to change to apollo. Run run and run.

Took them close to a year to send me an invoice for a visit. Service at the ER wasnt that great, spent more time waiting than I did with the Dr. Given a choice next time, I will go elsewhere.

Worst insurance management effort. I am constantly being surprised by bills that were long ago settled. Today (Sept 12, 2016), I received a bill from December of 2014!
