I had a question regarding the cafè. On the website its listed as open throughout the day for patients, visitors, and guest. In the waiting lobby, there is also a sign with lunch listed until 1:30. I went to the 3rd floor to look for the cafeteria listed, only to find a dinning hall and a lady behind a counter saying she was unable to serve, but we were allowed all the coffee and tea that we wanted. I dont mind paying for food, I just need a menu or a small list of what is offered. I wanted to know why there are postings of food, when all there was available for someone who isnt a doctor or patient is a vending machine. Mind you, I wasnt even hungry, I was simply looking for something that my mother could eat since she had been waiting since 7 am for my father, whos surgery was scheduled at 9 am. If food isnt an option, its better to list, so that people can plan ahead while they wait.

November 14th I had my very first steroid injection in my neck to get to my back because my back was messed up so I was very very nervous about doing it I was like I didnt want to but I had no choice I just wanted to get rid of my pain. Days passed the first steroid injection didnt work so I took the second one and thats helping me slowly and the nurses are very helpful and caring I give them a five star and the lady Susan who made my worries go away this was my first time and my second time in the hospital and had an IV in me I was soo nervous I would like to thank all the staff of WEST SIDE SURGICAL HOSPITAL. I was a recent patient here for the first time. I felt so comfortable before and after my surgery and the staff was very nice, funny and knowledgeable in their professions. I was treated well and very kindly. Thank you for making me such a happy patient! Everyone from the free patient valet personnel to doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, nurses aids, and kind woman named Kristine that helped me out to my car by wheelchair were great. Clean friendly hospital. Cons: Cafe is not for families of patients. Only vending machines available to the public. Front desk staff could be nicer and more friendly. There were issues with my paperwork handled by front desk and registration staff.

I underwent an Anterior and Posterior Lumbar Fusion on 11/3/16. I had the absolute best staff from start to finish. Just to name a few: Eliza, Tess in Holding, Peggy my surgery nurse, my CRNA - (name starts with an M), my surgeon Dr. Siddiqi, and Candace on my inpatient floor!! I couldnt have asked for anything better. Staff was very attentive and passionate about their jobs. I highly recommend Westside Surgical Hospital!!

Great place Was in Houston for Hernia surgery at Westside Surgery Center. My stay was 3 days due to this being a clinical study. The research study team is first class all the way and very attentive to my needs. From my surgeon Dr.Jim Garza to the nurses and all involved thank you for your kindness during my stay. Westside surgery center is a top notch medical facility and highly recommended.

I think its funny how they compare themselves to a hotel. Heres what I dealt with, great staff very friendly. Room problems, no hot water, the ac didnt work and the bed was so uncomfortable I tried to sleep in the recliner. Hard to sleep eden youre hot and in pain

The nurse refused to allow me a wheel chair when I was discharged. She was rude and not very sympathetic to me as a patient. She gave me someones discharge papers instead of my own. I will never come back to this hospital. The restroom floor was dirty and cold.

From entering the door to leaving after surgery, the staff at this hospital takes time to make you feel welcomed and cared for. They are professional and caring. I would recommend this hospital to any doctor that can use this facility as their surgery place.

Rude staff. I was late and when I called ahead they said it was fine but when I got there they told me that because I was late they are going to put all the paitents for the day ahead of me. nothing but liners they are
