Id like to start by noting that Ive never written a review of a business, good or bad. That should tip you off to how angry I am with IHC Memorial Instacare. And dont think for a second that they are not a business, because they are, and their primary concern is profit. I had had a head cold and sore throat for about a week before I even considered making a visit because I am not ignorant and am fully aware that the common cold is a virus, and the prescription for feeling better is rest and fluids. However, on Sunday, March 20th, I had another terrible nights sleep and woke up with a fever of 101, chills, severe pain in my chest when I breathe, and violent headaches that prevented me from getting any rest. I was afraid that I might have something worse than just the common cold, so I made the trip. The reception staff were exceptionally nice, and the wait time was only five minutes so I was expecting to be treated very well. I was wrong. The doctor who saw me judged me from the moment he walked into the room. He didnt give me time to voice my concerns, and immediately tested me for strep and pneumonia (helloooo, paycheck). Both came back negative and he resolved that I "probably just have the flu". On his race out the door I asked if it might be bronchitis, because I can hear the fluid in my lungs at night, he said "oh yeah could be, but thats a virus and theres nothing I can do". He treated me as though I was an idiot. He didnt listen to my chest. Sputum test? Apparently not worth his time. I never asked for narcotics, or insinuated that I needed them. In fact, Im against the use of narcotics except in surgical cases. But something to help me sleep through the night, or some Tylenol, or even just some sympathy would have been nice. I have now been bedridden for 3 days straight, not getting any better. My sternum feels like it is fractured from hacking up so much green sputum, and I cannot stand up without freezing to death from the chills or feeling like I might faint. I cannot even get to another doctor for a second opinion because it would be irresponsible to drive in my condition. Avoid this instacare at all costs, they will do expensive tests and send you home to "rest & fluid" even if youve already been doing that and it hasnt made the slightest difference.

My former review was taken off so here I am again! I went in due to a fever and pain I was having. I knew it was a.The doctor basically told me it was viral blah blahblah. No antibiotics. He ddidnt even bother to culture! To make matters worse I ran out of my antiseizure medication I had been taking for fourteen years. I could not get into see my new practitioner until next month. I alsol take this medication for other reasons which are exactly what the medication is used for. The doctor told me "you havent had a seizure so obviously you dont need it". I brought all of my medical records with me which included the recommendation from a medical expert. How does he know we whether I had a seizure or not? I am disabled diagnosed by a team of experts who all recommended I stay what is working for me.The doctor would not look at one document I brought! When it came to refilling my armour thyroid. He decides he is going to put me on synthroid. Who is he to de code that? My former physician now deceased took me off synthroid and on armour with incredible results and blood work. I also told the clinic physician I had a panic attack earlier that day and my pulse was racing. The physician was rude, did not listen and told me to leave! As I left the clinic sure enough I had a seizure and a panic attack and now a concussion! Mr Smarty-pants needs to go back to medical school and pay attention to pharmacology studies. Not once did he ask me why I was disabled. Clearly this physician is lacking in his fiduciary duty to his patient, did not do his research and patient history and is severely lacking in his bedside manner. Avoid this clinic if you need urgent care. He knows everything so dont bother telling him. I was judged and treated poorly and as lay here wide awake with excessive muscle twithches from my disease I have to wonder is a heart attack next? My tongue is bleeding from biting it during my seizure. I am sweating profusely,my head feels like its going to explode! I now am too scared to drive for fear of another seizure and causing an accident.I have a defective heart valve. I am even given antibiotics before dental work and this know it all is clueless what his job description is. Apparently ignorance is bliss. Glad the "ambulance chasers" know their job.

The pediatrician my daughter saw was so amazing, it would be 10 stars had the office staff been even remotely cordial. After being hassled for 10+ minutes on the phone I was finally able to get my sick daughter in to see a doctor. Apparently you have to go through an entire process and have an "established patient" visit before they will see your sick kid. They expect you to make a visit for nothing, just so they can claim you are an established patient. The woman on the phone treated me like i was an idiot for not knowing their "system". Then I got there and their entire front desk staff was THE WORST STAFF IN THE HISTORY OF DOCTOR OFFICES. I dont know who hired these women but they are bitter at life and basically bully you if you dont know every single thing about how their "system" works. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. They care more about you being an established patient than they do about your childs health. Then we got in to see the doctor and the doctor WAS AMAZING! I LOVED HER! She spent so much time and talked to my daughter instead of me, she was very attentive and kind. I will return but only because I love the doctor, even if it means i have to deal with the sassy/rude service up front.

Brandi Bolton-Orr FNP and her staff and colleagues at MEMORIAL CLINIC are some of the most caring medical personnel professionals that Ive ever come across. Most of the time, you are zipped in and out of a doctors office like their very existence depends on keeping your visit brief (which, in reality, it does -- since more patients per day means more money earned per day for both physician and clinic). HOWEVER, there has never been a visit (in my 8 to 10 visits over the past 3+ years with Brandi Bolton-Orr) that I felt hurried or rushed. On the contrary, she has always ensured that all my questions are answered and that shes addressed my concerns. Additionally, there is rarely a wait (I think the longest Ive waited to see Brandi was about 3 minutes, not even enough time to fill out the progress worksheet). Not only that, but shes one of the few medical caregivers in the cadre of doctors that my family sees each year that either 1) really cares about YOU as a person and not just a medical problem or (2) is very good at acting...either way, it works. Congratulations to all the team working with Brandi Bolton-Orr in Pulmonology and Audiology. Thank you for your care and keep up the great work.
