As for Sawchuk, he seemed very knowledgeable in my evaluation, and took time to explain my options, but his office staff are A JOKE!! Took me a month to get an appointment because they gave me the wrong information of what was needed. Then... after waiting a month in pain keeping me from lying down, sitting, or standing, the day of my appointment for the evaluation they all left while I was still with Sawchuk, so I was unable to schedule anything. Dr. Sawchuk told me to call them the next day to order the injection (he wrote down exactly what to order). I called them and they supposedly needed more information, and never called me back. I tried calling back close to closing and the staff said they couldnt do anything. I asked them to ask the medical assistant for more information and they wouldnt. I asked them if they would be calling me back today and they said they couldnt promise it. I told them I would appreciate if they would call me back today and they hung-up on me. I will be going to a different doctor who I actually know I can get an appointment with.

After getting an MRI my orthopedic doctor referred me to Dr. Sawchuck. I also had a friend recommend him. Im so very pleased with him and his office staff, I too highly recommend intermountain spine institue and especially, Becky, Raul and Dr. Sawchuck. He did an epidural on my spine, but before that is what impressed me. I did have to wait a bit, but he could not have been more apologetic and I didnt mind the wait because he took the time to completely read all of my patient history from prior doctors and explained the MRI and my prognosis/options which two previous doctors did not take the time to do for me, they just suggested I have surgury. Ive had a few issues after the injection and Dr. Sawchuck is continuing to help me through it. He personally followed up with me by returning my call right away then his office staff expidited tests and appointments super quick. They deserve 10 stars, not 5!!!!!!

I was convinced I needed surgery for my ruptured disc, Dr Sawchuk said lets try epidural injection first. It saved me! I was in excruciating pain, then it was gone. I plan on going to him for periodic pain relief, but for now, I have not needed surgery yet. I havent taken even one Lortab because of him, which is saying alot. My friend saw him for a similar problem, and he referred her to surgery, which was the right course for her. I feel Dr Sawchuk has great expertise in what he does. Thanks Dr Sawchuk!

I had two injections in my neck from Dr Sawchuck. He told me surgery was not an option for me. That left me very depressed and hopeless. The two injections did not work so I went to another doctor and guess what? I was scheduled for surgery the following week. Four months later after my neck surgery I feel wonderful. I feel like Dr Sawchuck did not want me to have the surgery so I would continue getting the injections.

Dr Sawchuck is very good he doesnt like to rush you to surgery. He will do every thing he can to help you, very compassionate and patient with you, he know what he is doing!
