I went in to see Dr. Vernon for an emergency visit on Monday Im completely baffled at how I was treated. I clearly had a problem - half of my face was visibly swollen. I explained about ongoing issues with the tooth where the pain and swelling originated, and I also told him that the area he was exploring was not where the problem started. It was like he couldnt even hear me. He decided it was a blocked salivary gland and that I need to make an appointment to consult with a surgeon. I told him that I was concerned about infection - my face was very obviously red, hot, and swollen - but he sent me away with a business card. I decided to seek out a second opinion immediately, and Im lucky I did. I have a massive infection that nearly put me in the hospital. By the following morning it had spread up around my eye and down to my neck - and that was after 12 hours on antibiotic. I have been on two different strong antibiotics this week and have also required antibiotic injections. If I had waited for a surgical consult I would have been hospitalised. The second dentist was able to determine in minutes with a cold test that the tooth I had talked about appears to have a dead nerve and likely needs a root canal. Dr. Vernon should have been able to find the issue if he had simply listened to what I was saying.

Dr. Vernon and all his staff are always SO good with my kids! Today I went in with a very grumpy 5 year old and left with a happy one after everyone in his office chipped in to cheer her up. Can we talk about HONESTY for a second as well? I was told by another dentist in Stansbury that I had 9 cavities, and for someone who always takes care of her teeth I was devastated. Thankfully I didnt go back, I had two spots that needed to be watched when I went into Dr. Vernons office. Ill never go anywhere else!

I have been seeing Dr. Vernon and his staff since he moved to Tooele. He explains the anatomy of dentistry and the best ways to save your teeth. He and his hygienist always do a thorough exam, checks for oral cancer, explains the best options for restoration. He makes going to the dentist fun especially for my children. He is always teaching prevention. Our family thinks he is wonderful and wouldnt go any other place.

I wish I could post a before and after picture, cause the difference is amazing! Dr. Vernon is incredibly efficient. First appointment they did a cleaning and made a game plan (yesterday) and today they removed a wisdom tooth and filled two cavities. Done in 1 hour. Cant beat that! Hes good at what he does and the staff is very friendly.

In 2014 , I went to get my bad tooth out an abstraction , dr.vernon did very well and the wait was not long at all ! After the abstraction was done , dr.vernon helped with pain prescription , just in case I started hurting at home and helped with antibiotics for swelling .
