WHAT A SHAME and a word of advice DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. PLEASE READ THIS LETTER. What a horrible experience today at this vet. I can only say that I did return the second time to this place because Dr. Zyga was so caring and took care of our pet so gently. I was extremely happy for her service. However, the medical prescriptions were extremely overpriced in comparison to any other online pharmacy (as much 3 times the price that was charged at Chedydale). This is not a nice business practice. Today, I went to receive a RX from Dr. Zyga and Ms.Carina Cuellar was not very responsive, and she mentioned that I needed to wait to obtain a written prescription from the only veterinarian available at the clinic (Dr. Catbagan). These two people were not only rude but unprofessional towards me. When I asked Ms. Carina what was the wait for the prescription to be dispensed her answer was that she did not know, that could take about 30 minutes or so. She proceeded to point out to Dr. Catbagan, who was engaged on a conversation with a client. The conversation never ended, and even though it was not of mine business, I could not help to hear it because your waiting area is so small. I understand that we can all get busy, but to see that the conversation was more than a non-sense and repetitive incoherent comments that were not even related to a pets health was completely intolerable to make someone wait for such a long time for a simple signature. I am not sure what you can improve, but for a simple signature on a paper, and to make us wait for so long, Ms. Cuellar could have interrupted the conversation and requested the signature for the prescription appropriately. Instead, I had to keep on waiting for an excessive period of time, until my patience went over the limit and decided to walk out of the clinic. Dr. Catbagan and Ms. Cuellar demeanor was in my opinion so unprofessional that I requested to be taken out of your database and I will never return to your business, ever again. I should have read other people ratings of your clinic in the internet, which are very low, before I even considered putting a foot there. It is shameful to see that your business practice is such a disgrace and humiliation to people in general. I am going to proceed to caution others of this incident and your business practices in every social media, so that people are aware of this matter, and do not experience such a low level of care and service from your despicable staff. You should consider sending your receptionists to be retrained on how to deal with customers with respect and professionalism.

Overcharged, misleading, rude staff. I had went in today for a early exam for my new puppy, Miley. Prior to making the appointment, I had spoken to a gentleman receptionist (who they refused to give me the name of), who quoted me a price of $100/ annually. So i had brought her in for the checkup and a few vaccinations thinking it was going to be the fee of $100 yearly. I was misled. The bill came out to $468. Not once did they review the services and prices that was going to be done. If i had known, I would have taken my puppy elsewhere. Basically, I sat outside while they did her shots, and then a few tests were done, WITHOUT notifying me of how much it was going to cost! Normally, at other vets Ive been to, prior to receiving the services, they show a list of the prices and what will be done, not here. Also, there are very young receptionists here, who, while I was waiting, was gossiping so much about people and pets. After receiving my total and being at the front desk, I stepped not to far away from the desk, and a inconsiderate, young receptionist said faintly to Kelly, "oh my god! shes crazy." They both were disrespectful and I had asked for the membership refund, since I did not want to be apart of this client, and there comes all the attitude! I said "There are other places that charge way less and allow me to pay monthly payments" Kelly said, "Well you can go there." I had called back numerous times and left a voicemail, trying to get in contact with another clinic manager. No responses. To summarize, please research and bring your pets elsewhere, where they will give you full information and an accurate estimate instead of false information. Kelly (who they said was a manager as well?), was rude, inconsiderate, and did not apologize once. Also, since they are a smaller vet clinic, the prices will be higher than a larger corporation! Heres a summary of my prices: Office visit: $89.00 Heartworm Lab test: $90.00 Vaccinations: $45-55 EACH Parasite screen: $63. Prices are doubled here and unreasonable. Do your research, and do not deal with the catty girls here. My friend, who has previous vet experience, recommended VCA Animal Hospital, who she states has excellent customer service and the prices are half of what they are here. Update: I had called about 3 times and left voicemail. No returns back to apologize or discuss any issues.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I have been here twice but my husband and his family have used this vets for years. I went there recently to board my cats overnight while I was getting work done in the house. I came in a crying mess and said I only have one cat with me as the other cat went missing. Absolutely no sympathy or anything...which is frustrating as it is their job to offer sympathy. I boarded my cat there and was asked to sign a piece of paper, the receptionist explained that it was to complete an exam which is necessary for boarding. I went back the next day and told my cats stay was $280.... they did a rabies vaccination and some other things. My cat is an indoor cat and does not need these injections. They never called to ask if they could do these things, they just did it....their service once expressed annoyance was appalling. It was the same woman that was there when I brought my cat in the night before and she did not ask how I was feeling or if we found out cat... how hard is it to ask?! We also have a bearded dragon that stayed in a place in Alexandria, when we picked him up we told him we had lost our cat. We were presented with suggestions and sympathy. The next day they even called to ask if we found our cat and if they can help in anyway. This just made me realize how terrible cherrydale vets is. My husbands family have been coming here for so many years but we have told them all about our experience and they never want to come here again. Some people will say "oh great I am glad my pet is all up to date with vaccinations etc and I am glad you did that, I will pay that big bill yes!" Especially in the cherrydale area, but cherrydale vets should NOT assume that someone will just pay it. They should call and ask first. We literally could have brought a hotel room at the Ritz for one night and just put our cat in there and it would have been the same price as the vet stay for 18 hours...will never go back to this place and I will do anything in my power to make sure others I met and know do not go back there either. That bill and poor customer service was the last thing I needed to deal with after losing my cat...
