I dont know where to start, my GF and I had to put our doggie down today. Everyone already knows that hope is the most expensive vet center in the area and has top notch vets. When we discovered that there was nothing left for us to do because his blood values didnt change after being in Hopes care for about 2days we had to let him go. It was the worst euthanasia Ive ever seen in my entire life... It was cruel. I had to talk my girlfriend into letting him go because he was suffering but I didnt know that procedure would go so horribly wrong.. Giz had two iv catheters in him and the vet (Dr. joung, she was amazing. the heart vets as well ) told some the side effects. She began with the procedure and it failed.. The IV was not in right... Giz started to become franctic. So she tried the other IV with the 4 shots and that didnt work. The IV was placed wrong. My girlfriend is hysterical at this point. So the vet called for an assistant and they had to do another IV on the spot. The whole time Giz moved.. He finally passed after that shot... His heart stopped. My girlfriend was in pieces. When the vet let I picked his lifeless body up, he pooped on himself during the whole ordeal and he let two breaths out maybe 20 seconds apart then the tong just hung out. It was finally over... He was already in pain, What a horrible way to die. Who ever did those IVs really messed up. After paying 3400 for the first night of care we were told the max for the following stuff would be 900 more but the final bill was 1770. Also front desk lady was sweet but she kept asking if we wanted to cremate him communal style for 60 and private for 350 right in front of Giz before he died while we were saying goodbye. She failed to mentioned we can just take him home... After spending over 6 grand the very first time we had to come a few months ago.. We are both completely in debt and is devastated. Im sorry Giz. Im glad youre no longer in pain.

Dr. Griffies was amazing and the staff was too. My dog Watson had a foot problem that a prior vet in DC diagnosed as histiocytoma and supposedly he would need his toe amputated. Dr Griffies determined it was a yeast infection between his toes and he did not need a toe amputation. He went a step beyond what I expected and suggested we test him for Cushings disease which is common in his breed and might explain his bizarre eating habits. Our previous vets have suggested following up regarding Watsons food and digestive issues but have never explained why or what they would test for. Dr Griffies is a great communicator and Watson has the best care when I bring him there.

I took my vomiting tortoise here, and my possibly egg bound tortoise here. Dr Carr is fantastic! Super helpful, patient, kind, worked hard to not have to sedate my animals and they both decided to trust her, and let her work on them. What say it more than a tortoises love and trust? Highly recommend. Also, remember that tortoise owning is a long and Lonley process. Its not like you can walk your tortoise to the tortoise park where he can play with some tortoise friends, while you discuss the finer points of tortoise husbandry with other tortoise owners. To get even basic advice, its the best to go to the vet.

I cant say enough great things about this veterinary center. Weve had three different visits there in the past year and half and weve had three truly fabulous vets and wonderful vet techs. The vets and vet techs are so thorough, kind and knowledgeable. It gives me great peace of mind to know this wonderful clinic is only about 20 minutes from our house and available to us any time we need them. The front desk staff is also extremely caring and nice. I cannot recommend the ER clinic highly enough - they are just amazing.

Dr. Danielson (and truly everyone from the night ER crew to the entire day shift staff) went above and beyond our expectations and were professional throughout the entire process. They were also compassionate and the Dr. called to check up on Wilma and ensure she was recovering fully after her emergency surgery and seemed to genuinely care about our sick girl. I am very grateful for all of the care we received from the Hospital and will emphatically recommend this hospital to anyone with emergency veterinarian needs.

We brought our dog in at 4 am and received immediate and professional attention. Everyone we spoke with on the phone was fantastic and supportive, and there was never pressure to conduct unnecessary testing or procedures. We had all our options presented to us in a clear and straightforward manner, and I feel that our pup received the best standard of care. Our dog is doing great now! The facility is spotless and organized, and I would not hesitate to refer my friends to Hope for their veterinary emergencies.

Mine and my Dogs experience with the Hope Center in Rockville was one of Bitter Sweet compassion . The diagnosis for my dog was grim and we (the doctor, staff and myself) all did as much as humanly possible to turn the tide but the inevitable occurred. My loving Dog, my family and myself were treated with the utmost compassion and dignity during such a sad and trying of times. Their compassion was sincere and their professionalism impressive. We needed and appreciated both. Thank you Hope Center for all you do

Absolutely gorgeous facility. The staff are attentive and kind. Dr. S was very thorough when it came to following up and checking on our pup. After thousands spent at the vet, the Ultrasound that Hope administered showed the issue, and although it wasnt what we wanted, we now know whats wrong with our Husky. Dr. S broke the news to us and was very level headed and compassionate knowing it was a hard diagnosis. (Our Husky has cancer) :-( we will bring all our other dogs here in the future.

I cant say enough good things about the Hope Center. My first contact with them was in speaking with Angela. She was so professional, kind and caring. You would have thought she knew me and my dog Molly and we had never been there before. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel special. The Drs and the techs were wonderful also. But I have to honestly say, that I made my decision to have my dogs surgery done there BECAUSE of ANGELA. Thank you so much Anglea!

Went to another ER Vet place, but these guys were the ones who diagnosed my dogs problems (he had a medical/neuro and a surgical issue) and saved his life. Wasnt inexpensive, but they helped me figure out how to pay. The only thing I dont like is the part where they take him to be examined and leave me in the waiting room. My vet and the other ER let me accompany him. It seemed to work, but it made me anxious. What counts is the part where they made him well.

I very stupidly followed some internet advice about a skin problem my dog was having and got really scared when it backfired. I called Hope and they put an ER nurse on the phone with me almost right away and she was able to give me advice and assurance, without even pressuring me to come in unnecessarily (it turned out not to be a huge deal). Based on this experience alone over other emergency vet centers, Hope will continue to be my emergency vet of choice.
