One word: Terrible. Went here yesterday with my kitten and on first impressions alone, it started off as great service. Front desk was excellent and made me feel welcome. Thereafter, I was brought to an appointment room and had a vet tech who was rather condescending venting our her frustrations with cat owners who arent careful after their pet has been fixed along with pushing pet insurance--not being able to give me an a straight answer about the cost of an average premium. In addition, lecturing me about importance of the right protein for my kitten and that starch isnt the danger--contradicting herself all together by attempting to give my kitten synthetic Cheese Whiz without having the courtesy to ask for my consent. Background, Ive had several cats all healthy and wouldnt ever feed them substandard food or human food to say the least. We all know cats are carnivores. As if that wasnt all bad all together, our vet was 35 minutes late to our appointment. Our vet was tied up on the phone with another client and spent barely 3 minutes with our kitten. Unfortunately, Dr. Tew spent more time on the phone than tending to our kitten. She was rough with our baby kitten prodding her twice for one vaccination due to a blunt needle, as well as trying to give our kitten Cheese Whiz without asking. Needless to say, I am so disappointed with the lack of quality care. I went here because I saw the excellent reviews but it seems in this case, you cant always trust accuracy of the reviews. I wont be returning with my any of my pets and I strongly dont recommend this practice for your furry loved one.

Clarendon Animal Care is the best vet in town! Our 6 month old puppy became very ill and both Dr. Ungerer and Dr. Gloor went out of their way to make sure our puppy was comfortable and got well soon. Our puppy was seen in the office on very short notice. They advised on the best courses of action and when we needed to come back to the office, they scheduled us with the technician, which was less expensive for us. Dr. Ungerer personally called to check on our puppy the next day, even though the office was closed! Operations at Clarendon Animal Care are seamless! Mike at the front desk is passionate about his job and is very detail oriented. When making an appointment for our puppy to get neutered, we received a personal email with an estimate of the cost without even having to ask for it! Each time we have gone into the office, it has been very organized and we are "in and out" in a very short time. Samantha the technician has taken great care of our puppy! We couldnt be more excited that Clarendon Animal Care has opened in the neighborhood!

This amazing practice has held my hand through senior care and now puppy care without ever letting me down. In the past, I have found supportive vet care for my senior dog to be very frustrating at numerous clinics around town. This practice was so much more knowledgeable about the care and well-being of my aging fur-baby and was able to help me find the perfect balance of supportive but not overdoing it either. When "the time" came, the compassion, professionalism, and understanding made the worst day of my life survivable, not sterile or meaningless. Now, I am the crazy mom of a new puppy and Clarendon Animal Care is there for me every crazy step of the way. From email questions, to reassuring phone calls 5 minutes before closing, they make caring for my pet easy so all I have to do is enjoy him. I cant recommend this practice enough!

I have no doubt that this vet cares about my dog and is honest, fair, and will go above and beyond to make sure shes in the best health. Yes, vets like this one can cost a little more than VCA, but I have no regrets. My dog had a growth on her tongue, so I emailed them and was asked to send a picture. Later than night, one of the vets personally emailed me back to explain what it was (basically equivalent to a cold sore that young dogs get) without me needing to come in. I was astounded at the level of care and personal attention. Not to mention: because of adopting from a certain animal rescue, we received our first visit here free (many animal rescues in the area do something like this somewhere). The free visit may have brought us in, but the people and thorough care are why we stay!

Ive been to a few veterinary clinics in the area and was most impressed with my experience at Clarendon Animal Care yesterday evening. My dog can be a little "talkative" and high strung at the vet and in new surroundings, so I appreciate how genuinely friendly, patient and understanding both the technician and doctor were the whole time we were there. Thank you for eliminating some of the stress off of my plate in that way. Lily got all of her shots with relative ease and we were out of there in under an hour. Also, Mike at the front is the nicest person ever! What a great person to have to help form an awesome first impression on your clients. I will definitely be returning - Im glad we finally found a veterinary office this is a good fit.

My Italian Greyhound was having gastro-intestinal problems. He has had these problems before, but this time, he was experiencing more severe complications. I called Clarendon Animal Care and they fit me in. From the time we were greeted at the front-desk through the visit with Doctor Ungerer, I knew we were in good hands. After diagnosis and treatment, he was back to normal in just a few days. Dr. Ungerer called me several times during that time, to see how my dog was doing. She also responded quickly to an email I sent her for another, non-related question. I am very satisfied with my choice of Clarendon Animal Care for my dog(s) and highly recommend their practice to others.

Love love love Clarendon Animal Care! Ive been going to them for about a year when we first adopted our rescue Nacho. From the minute I walked in I felt like family. The team is always so pleasant and upbeat! They are more dependable and service oriented than my own doctors. Weve visited for routine visits to the last minute appointments on a Saturday because puppy was up all night sick. They are always so attentive and caring. I cant rave about them all enough! From Mike, Charnita, the team of Veterinarians including Dr.Gloor and Dr. Ungerer. Recently I was in aw of Dr. Gloor who got on the floor with my pooch because he was nervous for his exam. Thank you for all you do!

I was very skeptical of this places five star rating when I first starting bringing my dog here. I figured they were massaging the numbers somehow. Now its two years later and I realize theres really nothing negative to say about this place. Excellent location, friendly staff. Most importantly for me as someone who doesnt have a lot of free time, is that they are open beyond normal business hours and rigorously stick to their appointment schedule. If my appointment is at 8am, I can show up at 8am and finish in a reasonable amount of time. Add to that reasonable pricing and quality care and its easy to see why so many others have given this place five stars.
