I found Chantilly Dentist after my long-time dentist retired and sold his practice. My former dentist had a good reputation, but I did not stay with the new dentist who purchased the practice because, while I believe that a practitioner can sell a lease and equipment, philosophically my feeling is that I (as a patient) am not a commodity and cant be sold as part of a practice. A reputation as a quality health/dental professional needs to be individually earned and cant be bought or sold. Since I could not find any information about the dentist who purchased the practice, I set about to find a new source for dental care. In doing so, I did extensive research on area dentists to find an excellent practice. I have had a lot of dental work over the years, and a good dentist is important to me. The reviews on Chantilly Dentist in "Washington Consumers Checkbook" and in the "Washingtonian Top Dentists" issue were superb. What I read in Checkbook told me that they are highly regarded by their patients, some of whom drive quite a ways to see them. That they are highly rated in the Washingtonian told me that they are highly regarded by their peers. While those recommendations arent necessarily foolproof, since my former dentist was similarly rated, they helped me narrow the search. During my first visit at Chantilly Dentist, the hygenist took years of discoloration off of my teeth with a thorough cleaning, even though Id regularly seen my former dentist and hugenist 2 times a year. Dr. David also saved me a lot of money by telling me that I didnt need a crown on a tooth that my former dentist, and a second opinion, said that I needed. On one hand, I am thrilled with great care at Chantilly Dentist...on the other hand, I am thoroughly disgusted with previous care at other practices that included advice on services that I didnt need.

I take oral hygiene very seriously, and after going through a few dentists I really did not like in Northern Virginia, I finally found the Babingtons! Ive seen both Dr. William and Dr. David Babington, and they are both really great. The dental hygienists are also all wonderful at this practice. I must say, I do love going to the dentist, but its because I take very good care of my teeth. I went to a dentist before Dr. Babington who told me I would need all these fillings. I really didnt understand, since I had never had a filling in my life. They filled my teeth, and when I came back after six months, they said I needed more. I doubted their assessment, as I take really good care of my teeth, and went to Dr. Babington for a second opinion. Low and behold, I did not need anything done to my teeth except a quick cleaning (another bonus, they get you in and out REALLY quickly), and I have been going here ever since. If you want a genuine, nice dentist this is the place to go!

I have been going to Chantilly Dentist since I moved back into the area in 2005. A friend referred them and every time I go for a cleaning, x-rays, crown, filling a cavity, new cap, whatever the reason, everyone is so very professional and friendly. The front desk is so polite and friendly upon my arrival Both doctors are very concerned about my needs and making sure I am comfortable and in no pain, which I have never been. They both have the same professional manner and that is what I like. They explain everything as to what they are doing so I can understand. I really cant tell if Dr. David or Dr. William is working on me as they are both similar in how they approach any procedure. Going to the dentist is not # one on anyones list but the doctors and staff do their very best to take the stress out of it and I would recommend them to anyone who needs dental care.

I have been going to Dr. Bill Babington for over 35 years and he is the best dentist I have ever known. I grew up going to MCV dental school students, so when I grew up and started going to a "real" dentist, I couldnt believe how pain free it could be! Dr. Bill is soft spoken and gentle. He puts you at ease immediately and has a way with pain free sedation. I was nervous about going to the dentist when i moved up to Northern Virginia but have never had a bad experience with Dr. Babington. When his son, David, joined the practice I wasnt sure if I would like him as much. But he is just as wonderful with his demeanor, personality, thoroughness, knowledge and gentle hands. They keep up with the latest technology and their office staff is welcoming and efficient. This practice is the best. I would highly recommend both Dr. Bill Babington and Dr. David Babington.

Drs Babington have been my dentist for over 10 years. Like most, I hate going to the dentist - you know that cringe you get when you know you have to go? Luckily for me, since going to them, I never get that cringe. I have never experienced any excessive discomfort or pain with any of the procedures I have had done there. Before performing any procedure they check and double check their findings. They dont assume anything. They give you options, if there are any, and work with you to determine what is the best plan of action. They LISTEN to you. You cant say that about a lot of people in the medical profession these days. I would recommend them highly and if I could provide more than 5 stars as part of the rating, I would.

We have been going to them from past 20+ years. They treated us (all four of us) like family since our first visit. Its always a pleasure to visit them and catch up on things while they attend to us. They are very professional. They dont do procedures unless it is a necessity. Very dedicated doctors. Their team is also as friendly, personal and compassionate as they are. Wouldnt want go to any other dentist unless we move to a different state or country:-). My kids live four hours from here. They still come back here for their dental appointments... If you want to have a pleasant experience with your dental needs, this is the place to go.

Drs. Babington, father and son, have been our dentist(s) for years. Their staff is warm and friendly, true professionals. We continue to travel to Chantilly even after moving to Purcellville. The other day, my daughters traveled to an appointment I thought they had, but in fact, did not. The staff graciously made a way into their already full schedule to see one daughter who was months overdue for her checkup due to family trauma. I will never make that mistake again, as it created such a hardship for the Babington staff. Many thanks to all of them for taking such good care of us all these year!

I have been going to this dentist for about eight years now. I decided to write this review because I am so happy with their care. It is a small, friendly office that puts a value on personal service and quality care. The office staff is friendly and understanding, and the two dentists (father and son) always take the time to talk with me about any concerns that my family or I may have. I never feel like they are trying to pump up the bill or soak my insurance company. I will continue with Dr. Babington for as long as I live in the area.
