Dr. Wong is the s**t! Hes professional, personable and seems to really know what the heck hes doing when it comes to dentistry. I dont say that last part as a dental professional (which I am not) but I have had teeth all my life so I know a good bit about my own. I went to him a while back with an abscessed tooth. He quickly determined that we could either yank it out or try to save it. I chose "try to save" but that ultimately didnt work out although Dr. Holbert gave it a good go. That said, Dr. Wong did end up taking the tooth out. I hadnt had a tooth extraction in quite a number of years but Dr. Wong did the deed and now the deeds been done. I look forward to throwing all my dental business the VFD way in the future.

My visit to The Virginia Family Dentistry has to be one of the best experiences of my life. How many times have you heard that?The professionalism and depth of knowledge of the doctors in my opinion are unmatched. (And Ive been to a few dentist here in Virginia). The care that my Dr. and Dental hygienist took to explain my diagnosis and treatment left me assured that I would receive the best care, along with providing me with the information I needed to make sure my teeth remain healthy. My cleaning was painless thorough and quick. My wife loves her Dr. here and wont go anywhere else! I would gladly recommend that anyone reading this, consider making VFD your choice when looking for a dentist. You wont be disappointed !

I had my first visit at Dr. Perkinson today and i have to say it was the best experience I have had with a dentist office, I am one who is terrified of the dentist and hates to go. I walk in the office on Atlee Station Rd and the front desk staff greeted me with warm smiles, that put me at ease they made me feel relaxed. The Hygienist that I saw was very gentle she explained what she was doing the whole time, then the dentist came in and did my check, he was very warm and friendly and told me everything was going to be OK, what a great practice from Front desk to hygienist to doctor they are all great I would totally recommend anyone to this practice

I was working in the area for the week and am from Maryland. I had a big weekend planned in Atlantic City leaving on Saturday morning. On Friday I had an existing crown come out while I was chewing and a broke it to pieces on the first bite. I called all around mid-day on Friday and nobody had any room. I got a hold of another branch of Virginia Family Dentistry and she was determined to help me out. She searched through the other locations schedules and found that Atlee had an opening. I got there on time and they saved my weekend. I had a temporary tooth in and it looked great. My weekend would have been ruined without them.

The practice seems well run, the doctors friendly, and the staff helpful. However, our family philosophy differs from theirs; example - we prefer to have x-rays every 2 years (instead of annually), and we do not need a dentist taking our blood pressure, and our desires were not acceptable to the practice. Additionally, several check-ups resulted in recommendations for expensive work (i.e. skin grafts to alleviate gum recession, etc..) not supported by second opinions we received from other practices. In the end we parted ways and headed to a different practice that was willing to accept our desires.

I have been to seven different dental offices (DDS) in my life - and I have to say that this entire staff puts all of the previous to shame!!! Dr. Wong is my regular dentist, and I trust him with my smile :))... Although, I have been seen by others in this practice and the experience was always pleasant and professional. Cleanings (which I just had done) are also always top notch!! Highly recommend!!! Oh - the office manager sure was on-the-ball...and easy on the eyes!!

This family practice has multiple locations, and my family and I have visited two of them, Atlee-Ashland and Short Pump. Its a one stop shop, all the services are there at your fingertips. You dont have to get a referral to see a specialist, they have everything you need right there. We absolutely love them, the dentists, orthodontist, and staff are friendly, professional and very insightful. The facilities are bright, clean and clean, and oh did I mention CLEAN

The young ladies were very helpful when I called in about a broken molar. The office saw me the same day and we were scheduled to remove my wisdom tooth and molar. The procedure was quick and easy (sedated) and recovery has been smooth. They even called twice to follow up and see how I was doing. My fears of going to the dentist are finally over at 37 years old. Everyone here is amazing!

Monica at VFD make a frightening experience much more pleasant by putting you at ease and explaining exactly what is going on and why different procedures are being performed. Im happy to see the same Hygienist and Dentist each time I go. They are familiar with my needs and concerns and are able to explain the way ahead that fits best for my situation.

As a new patient, I was able to get an appointment quickly and easily. I was seen on-time. The Hygienist and Dentist were outstanding! Offices are clean and neat. Administrative staff was friendly and professional. I was favorably impressed and highly recommend this practice.

Talley was so wonderful and patient with my anxiety while in the offfice. Dr. Wong took his time and explained all the necessary steps that needed to be taken in the future for me. The service was wonderful, coming from someone who has horrible anxiety at the dentist office!

Was traveling and developed a major tooth ache. Took the red eye back in major pain, called the office and was able to get immediate appt. Dr Colleen took great care of a painful situation. Actually left the dentist smiling even though I had a hole in my mouth.

Dr. Jeff and his assistant are wonderful! My daughter had to have a couple of fillings taken care of and it was easy and fast. Dr. Jeffs assistant kept her calm and relaxed and she didnt even flinch. Great place and a great friendly staff!
