UPDATE: The office manager contacted me today and resolved the problem immediately. She apologized on multiple occasions and more importantly remedied the situation. Thank you for making this right! I went here in March for a consultation for oral surgery based on a reference from my dentist. I met with Dr. Shinwari who was very professional and thorough. They recommended I go ahead with the surgery based on his findings and had the office manager provide me a breakdown estimate of what my insurance provider would cover (I provided them with both my dental and health insurance information) and the amount I would have to pay out of pocket. I agreed to go forward with the surgery based on this information and paid the initial out of pocket expense they showed me that same day. The surgery went well and Dr. Shinwari did a great job but that is where everything went downhill... Several months later I receive several bills stating that I owe over $1000. I called the office and learned from the office manager that they failed to notify me of a bill of approximately $100 from VCU that I would need to pay in addition to the initial amount I paid. I let her know I was dissatisfied and why there was another bill showing I owed $900. She told me that they would submit this to my health provider and it would it would be "100% covered no problem" and that it would not need to pay this amount. She told me "it is the game the dental coverage and health insurance plays with one another" and not to worry about it. I specifically asked, "Are you 100% positive I am not going to have to pay another penny? I have already paid much more than you originally told me.". Her response...."Yes, I promise. Do not worry. If something does come up we will take the hit on our end". Well guess what? Several more months go by and I think the problem has been corrected only to find another bill when I got home today from Clear Care for over $900. I can imagine you might understand why I am frustrated. How can your estimate be so far off that you are trying to tack on another $1000 in addition to what I have already paid? Does the office manager know what she is doing? If I had known I would be paying this ridiculous amount I would have never elected to have the surgery. In summary, the doctor was great but do not trust a word coming out of the office managers mouth. To her, billing customers over $1000 more than was initially stated is a completely acceptable practice. I will gladly revise this review if the practice can arrive at a resolution that is satisfactory to me...like you promised!

Dr. Shinwari and those that work with him are amazing. I was referred to an oral surgeon to evaluate a growth I had on my gum. He wanted to do a biopsy and he did it right then. Amy (sits up front and works with insurance) was able to verify my coverage on the spot so I would not have to pay and then get reimbursed. Jimmy (works with Dr. Shinwari) hooked up the gas (I am a coward) and made sure I was comfortable and in less than 5 minutes and one stitch later we were done. I was really concerned when he said I would only need Motrin for pain, I have never had a painless procedure.....When the novacaine wore off there was NO pain!!! I went back 2 weeks later and learned the whole thing needed to come out. Instead of making me schedule another appointment he once again squeezed me in so I could get it over with. Amy worked her magic once again, Jimmy tried to keep me calm and I got to meet Virginia too. (sometimes it takes a village for me). Everything was easy and painless and he warned me it would hurt this time. That evening Amy called to check on me and the next morning Virginia called to check. Bottom line, Dr. Shinwari has a magical touch and considers the whole patient when evaluating, not just dental focused. Jimmy and Virginia are masters at keeping you calm and feeling safe. Amy is adorably sweet and makes sure you get all of the benefits you are entitled too . Great place!

This pediatric dentistry practice is top notch. We were referred here by our family dentist after a unpleasant experience at another peds dentist. When you walk in there is an eight foot elephant and 12 foot giraffe with jungle panelled walls. There is a TV room and treasure chest and the treatment rooms are decorated also. The tech and dentist were kind and gentle with my 26 month old who has had night terrors after seeing another dentist and fights us terribly to brush his teeth. I found the dentist to be very reasonable, and felt he had more concern for the safety and mental, and emotional state of my child than our other experience. Front desk staff was very pleasant and explained our insurance benefits and coverage for the planned procedure. Free coffee machine with pumpkin latte flavor. Great plus for moms. Medi spa available for adults. Another plus was changing table in restroom. Only negative was having to ask for diaper bag and find a trash bin outside to throw it out. But I understand diapers stink and are a nuisance. Appreciate the concern for cleanliness and smelling good. Overall, loved the clinic and docs and techs and front desk staff. And my son danced on the way out after crying and tantrums during the exam and cleaning. Standard for him.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this place and the entire staff. Everyone there is so friendly, professional and personable. My children love when we go in, (I think for the movie theater there while waiting lol) Dr Gill made the transition to this office so easy, really taking the time to talk to my kids on their level and really made it very easy and enjoyable for everyone (my 8 year old says she wishes she could go every week lol). We were referred to the Orthodontist for my oldest and I was again blown away by how kind and helpful the staff was. The office manager Siham really goes above and beyond for their patients. Thank you ClearCare for all you do for your patients!!

Where to begin! Wanted to charge over 1200 for general anesthesia and did not inform us of other (safer) options for my nephew. Staff was very rude because we would not pay CASH. Probably because they knew my insurance would not cover it. Went to a different dentist where they informed us about the different options for my nephews procedure. Sadly my nephew went to ClearCare Dental for a procedure earlier this year and could barely walk out of the office on his own, yet we were told to hurry and leave for the next patient! UNBELIEVABLE! Explore your options! They made us think we didnt have any.

Thank you Dr. Shinwan for a job well done. My daughter came in full of anxiety to have wisdom teeth removed.. from the initial contact over the phone with Tammy, and there after the other ladies at the front desk her visit was a success. The staff made us feel like we were the only patients of the day. The procedure was explained and we were able to ask questions. We did not feel rushed in any way and great care was taken by the nurses to put my daughter at ease. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs this service 100%.
