BEWARE: I preface this review with the admission that I have NEVER in my life left a review online for anything; however, my horrific experience at Clifton Dental Care left me no choice but to detail what happened. During just my second ever visit here for a routine cleaning in November 2016, I was advised (even though I was having absolutely no problems whatsoever with my teeth) that I should have my silver fillings replaced with white composite fillings. I later learned from other dental professionals that this is unnecessary unless there are problems with the existing silver fillings. Being just a patient, I trusted Dr. Yoon she knew best. Big mistake. Five silver fillings were replaced in the right side of my mouth in one visit (December 2016), exhausting all my annual dental insurance. The very next day I was in excruciating pain. I went back to Dr. Yoon twice within days, pleading for her to alleviate the pain. All I was told was that my bite “was uneven” and needed filed down, which she did. The pain only grew worse. At this point, I was told nothing more could be done and I needed to see an endodontist for a probable root canal; however, my annual dental insurance had been exhausted by the needless fillings causing the pain. Unless I wanted to pay thousands of dollars for a root canal out of pocket, I would have to wait until January 01, 2017 for my dental insurance to renew. So I was prescribed Percocet for the pain, which I took over Christmas and New Year’s. On January 02, 2017, I was able to get in for an emergency root canal with a local endodontist. Long story short, I contacted Clifton Dental care and asked if they could cover the costs of additional work needed on teeth Dr. Yoon had worked on. She did reimburse me for the needless fillings she gave me (500$); however, I was told she did not feel she was responsible for the agony I was enduring. So, this office says they were not responsible for teeth that I previously had no problems with, which they worked on, all in the right side of my mouth, and have since had to pay out of pocket to repair (My 2017 annual dental insurance was wiped out with the January 02 root canal). So far I’ve had to have two root canals on teeth that this office worked on. Two more teeth this office worked on are also painful and sensitive to heat/cold. My endodontist and new dentist hope they can just re-fill these teeth to correct the issue; however, there’s a strong chance they will require root canals as well. Simply put, I had no issues whatsoever with my teeth prior to Clifton Dental Care’s debacle. Now the teeth worked on in the right side have had to have two root canals, with the possibility of two more. My annual 2017 dental insurance was wiped out on the second day of the year for one of my root canals, meaning all remaining work this year to repair my teeth will come out of pocket. I have to date (April 2017) spent $1,872.50 out of pocket to repair the damage Clifton Dental Office caused. As I previously mentioned, I have never wrote a review like this. I have always chalked up things as bad experiences and moved on; however, a place of business like this needs to take responsibility, and Clifton Dental Care has most definitely not. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

DO NOT GO HERE! Let me start by saying that I never write reviews but Dr. Yoon was so inexcusably unprofessional I felt I have to say something for anyone considering coming here. I was first actually referred here from a friend and desperately wanted to like it. The receptionist seemed nice enough and the hygienist (Sean) took extra care in greeting me and explaining what he was seeing during the cleaning. In fact I dont even blame the hygienist for what Im about to go into. After going home I felt as if something was stuck in my tooth. I waited for bit and discovered it was a large ball of blood that was clotting. From there my upper left gum started to bleed excessively and would not stop. The office was closed by then so I decided to wait it out until the following day just in case it was me just healing slowly. The night was so bad I didnt sleep a wink and was swapping out saturated gauze every hour. I called the office first thing in the morning. The message said they were open Fridays but they are not. I called the "emergency" number left on the machine and did not hear from anyone until 4.5 hours later. Dr.Yoon immediately got defensive during our conversation saying that "it was not their fault and I seemed pleased when I left". At this point she proceeded to tell me that she has errands to run all day and would not be able to see me. Plus even if she did she would not be able to do anything for me. Not very professional! Ultimately I had to go to a specialist and 7 Novocain shots later and 3 stitches the bleeding finally stopped. Dr. Tony Palumbo from Vienna Periodontist and Implant Surgery was absolutely fantastic. He was the example of professionalism I was hoping for from Dr.Yoon. He left me his personal number in case it started to bleed over the weekend and called me the very next morning to check if all was well.

My experience with Dr Yoon is always amazing! Dr Yoon came into the office for an emergency visit to see my little boy after he hit his front teeth. She was really there for us and it means the world to us. She is honest, kind, and dependable. I will never go to a different dentist.

The african American girl assistant hit me twice and pretended that she didnt. Was told to come in at 3:00 then a phone call at 3 cancelled front desk told me that the doctor was not comfortable with me. Someone else hire front desk girl when this place goes under please.

Dr. Yoon is an awesome dentist. She is always nice and very professional. I was having a lot of pain during a holiday weekend, and she came in to help me with my pain on a day her office wasnt open. She cares for her patients! Highly recommend!!
