My experience was great with the dentist. They did a fabulous job on my fillings and cleaning. But here is the scary side of this place, I got a bill after all my procedures were done for over $500. I know i have good insurance so I call them up and asked them to explain me line by line the credits debits and insurance payments. Erica first argued that I will have to pay as the bill states.Then she was unable to explain so she told her her office manager will get back with me. Two days later I get a call from her saying their insurance payment system is automated and there was a glitch and I only owe them $58. Great I gave them a benifit of doubt and said thank you !!! Then my wife gets a call on Nov 2 7am. Again from Erica "your husband missed an appointment and if you like to reschedule you will have to pay $50 penalty as per contract." What are you serious your were trying to rob me with $500 first then $50 again? I call her up and told her I may have made the appointment but may have forgoten. She goes off again we sent you a text yesterday with automated system and you have got it. Nooooo I did not get it and she call us a lier. I think eveyone who has visited here in the past and will in future should check their bill and with insurance. I know for sure I will not be going here again but if you do be careful. They did send me bill for my miss Appointment.

I hadnt thought about writing a review until today. Long story short... I have been fighting with my insurance company for MANY months because they completely screwed me on a claim. They told me one thing and then denied it over and over. Anyway... SRFD worked me with me extensively to try to get this resolved. Way more than I would have expected. In the end, SRFD and I worked things out together... no thanks to Delta Dental of Virginia. Probably the worst dental insurance I have ever dealt with. On top of this recent experience... I have been going to SRFD for awhile now. Jill has been my hygienist and I think shes fantastic. My son started going here as well at the age of 3/4 and he loves going to the dentist. They made it a very fun and positive experience for him. I have met and worked with each of the doctors there and they are all pleasant, polite, and informative. Cant thank them enough for everything over the recent years.

Everything was going superb with the hygenist until the dentist came by. He came in and did not introduce himself, did not say hello to my son or I. The hygenist explained that my son requires several fillings. The doctor breezed in and took a quick look and left. He did not explain anything. It was close toward the end of the day so i dont know if he was tired but i felt he was rude and cared none. I will not get another appointment with him. I am going to give the lady dentist a shot and if its the same deal we will be going else where. The service is being paid for so every patient and child needs to be treated with curtosey. Even if you have had a bad day do your due deligence... smile, introduce yourself, explain any procedures which maybe needed provide assurance.

Simply the best dentist practice I have ever gone to. The staff are friendly and work with you. I had a couple of crowns done in the past couple of years. One was my front tooth which need to be replaced. The staff worked with my insurance to get it covered and Dr. Steger took his time to make sure it came out perfect. My hygienist, Luz, is also fantastic. In fact I think they are so good that I recommended them to my mother in law. She now travels from Annandale to see Luz and Dr. Steger for her cleaning and check ups.

Caring and friendly! My hygienist at the office (Nancy) is amazing, and she makes visiting for things like routine cleanings pain free and enjoyable (this is huge coming form someone who hated visiting the dentist). The dentists are also top notch and friendly. They even caught my wifes ultra small cavity that shes been trying to get resolved for awhile (it was very hard to spot). They resolved that quickly and pain free. I wont be going to anyone else anytime soon. Keep up the great work guys!

I would steer clear of this dental practice due to questionable billing practices. After offering a complementary new patient dental exam and a few x-rays to get started, I was disappointed to be billed unexpectedly for the items over three months after the first visit. This bill also included charges that were three times more than Dr. Steger and his staff told me I would be responsible for paying. Dr. Steger and his staff were extremely difficult to deal with to resolve these problems.

WARNING! The billing department is inept and not interested in logic or owning up to their mistakes! They told us they took our insurance, did the work, we paid what we owed and then a few months later they told us they DONT take our insurance and are trying to bill us for nearly $2000. We would have just gone else where! This will be fought and we will go to court if need be. STAY AWAY - Not worth the trouble of dealing with these sharks.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I absolutely love this Dentist. They are completely professional, kind, efficient, and overall easy to deal with. I have never had any issues going there and the Hygienists make your appointment pain free. Ive never had issues with my Dentists; but, Ive completely stopped hating going to the Dentist after switching over to this practice. You will not be disappointed!

This place will rip you off. Their billing department is horrible and will ask to pay you again for things that you already paid for. They will do unnecessary x-rays and other procedures and will charge you for the same claiming that you were informed that insurance wont pay for it. I wish there was a system to give negative star.. they dont even deserve a one star.

Excellent place. We had been going to another Dentist for years and they were horrible at walking us through the bill. This place does an excellent job of explaining everything. Always get greeted nice and never feel like theyre being dishonest with us. Also text and shoot an email for reminders. Would recommend to friends and neighbors

The care I have received at South Riding Family Dentistry has always been prompt, extremely competent, and professional. Both the hygienist and the dentist take time to explain procedures and to discuss my preferences, and are always patient. Both for regular cleaning/exams and for a couple of tooth emergencies, my care has been excellent.

This place is really one of the bad places in the town. They say some thing and by the time bill comes it will be completely different. They will take every advantage of making money from you. Either you need or not they will perform work and will say it is documented, so pay for it. This happened to me and my wife. A BIG RIP OFF PLACE.
