Dr. Ortega did my filling, cleaning, and extracted my upper two wisdom teeth. Needless to say it was a seamless and calming experience. I was slightly nervous in the beginning as I have never been through any of the procedures or even had anesthetic before. Dr. Ortega made sure to let me know that I was in good hands and helped me stay calm. I did not feel a thing when I received the anesthetic!!!! It was actually quite fun. Even if there was a slight pinch Dr. Ortega walked me through the entire procedure to let me know what exact sensation I was going to feel. As well as with the extraction of the wisdom teeth she made sure I knew that there may be slight pressure and I may feel slight pulling. I loved this as I knew exactly what to expect, being that I was a first timer. The extractions were done so smoothly that both were out within 5 MINUTES !!!!! I did not feel any pain and in fact I was so consumed by Dr. Ortega’s conversation and the views outside the windows of the office that I did not even know the teeth had been pulled out !!!! I can go on and on about the pleasant experience that I had, but what I felt in the end was that I was taken care of and that Dr. Ortega genuinely cares about the health of my teeth. It can be seen with the extra steps that she takes to make sure I was taken care of in every aspect whether it be with the technique of the procedures themselves or the atmosphere of the office with the scenic views and calming scents. Shes amazing!

dr. ortega is unlike other dentists. the office is small and you get personal attention, unlike other offices with 4+ dentists and 20+ employees who take you around to different stations throughout your visit and the dentists dont even remember you! ive noticed that not only with us, but other patients that relationships with her grow from a patient to friends. i live in west virginia now and drive an hour for her cleanings, which she currently does herself and does an extremely thorough job! she takes her time with each procedure, demands perfection from the labs that she works with, and uses high quality material. she also is very honest and explains in detail what procedures you need. this is a rare quality with some doctors ive seen who tend to keep their patients in the dark because they dont think they will understand the reasoning.

I am beyond pleased with Dr. Ortegas office staff, assistant, and Dr. Ortega herself. When I went in for my consultation, Dr. Ortega was so patient and spent an hour just getting to know me and what I wanted done with my teeth (I was interested in bonding). She was not the only dentist I had made a consultation with and was disappointed when the other dentists spent only 10 minutes and didnt really listen to my needs or concerns. Moral of the story, Dr. Ortega is so thorough and pays strict attention to detail, all the while making sure I am comfortable and as pain free as possible. I couldnt be any happier with my bonded teeth. I made a follow-up appointment with her to do a routine check-up. She was just was thorough with the check-up as she was with the bonding. As long as she is in business I will never go to another dentist!

I was browsing through google ratings to find a new dentist, and when I came to Dr. Ortegas page I was almost suspicious because of how perfect her reviews were. Ive since had a couple of appointments at Dental Cosmetix and realized there was no need to have any doubts. Dr. Ortega and her staff are all very friendly, gentle and helpful. There was absolutely no judgment or condescension that Ive experienced with previous dentists. And hardly any pain. I had my wisdom teeth removed, opting for a local anesthetic, and later that day my friends didnt even believe me when I told them I had my teeth out, because of how little pain I exhibited. I used to hate going to the dentist, but now I actually feel comfortable having my teeth treated.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed recently, and I was expecting a lot more pain and for the procedure to be harder than what it was. Dr. Ortega is very good at not getting anything to hurt, from getting the anesthetic to the extractions themselves. She is extremely thorough and called me the evening of the day of my appointment to see how I was doing and to give advice for recovery process.. She returns all emails in a very timely fashion, and when I needed a stronger pain medication, she called my pharmacy right away and had them fill it for me. Rebecca, the assistant, did a great job at keeping me calm and pain free as well.. I love Dental Cosmetix!

My experience with Dr. Ortega has been very good. She educates you on what is required during any regular checkup or major work that needs to be done that day. She goes above and beyond to help her clients understand the diagnosis. For example, I needed a filling due to a deep pocket on one of my tooth where food particles were getting stuck. She immediately diagnosed it and brought it under my attention. The whole process was pain free. I thanked her for a great job. She also provided excellent service to my wife when she needed her wisdom tooth removed. Thank you Dr. Ortega treating us like your family.

I have always been scared of going to dentists. I was afraid of the needles and the drilling. I was introduced to her by my husband. Hesitant at first, I immediately became her fan after she numbed me for the first time and I didnt even feel the needle. That was 9 years ago and I am still her biggest fan. Our entire family goes to her and so do our friends. She does a thorough job and explains everything well. I have never felt her rush through just to get to another patient. Its about quality care with Dr.Ortega. We are her lifetime patients!!!! Thanks Dr.Ortega!!!

Ive been going to Dr. Ortega for the last four years for procedures varying from routine cleanings to cosmetic work. She is by far the best dentist I have ever had, and I will continue to go to her as long as I am in the area. I had cosmetic work done a few years ago to fix a far from perfect smile. Dr. Ortega did amazing work and I receive compliments on my new smile quite often; she did amazing work. It is easy to tell that Dr. Ortega really cares about your dental health; not just an "in-and-out" type office that is all too common. Highly recommended!!!

Having been to a number of dentists in the past, I can say without reservation that Dr. Ortega is the very best. I experienced throbbing pain and wasnt able to get a good nights sleep. Dr. Ortega diagnosed me immediately and as it turned out, I needed to have a root canal done. The idea of it scared me, but Dr. Ortega put me at ease by explaining everything very thoroughly before getting started. Needless to say, my root canal procedure was as painless as possible. I am able to sleep well again. Shes the only dentist I now trust for quality dental care.

After nine months my Invisaline is finally complete and Im so glad I finally did it! I cant get how easy it was and how much it improved my smile. I fought it for years and kept telling Dr. Ortega I would end up never wearing my retainers. Well im here to report they were a breeze to wear and I can honestly say I kind of enjoyed wearing them. They were easy to pop in and out when I needed to eat and cleaning them was easy too. I now tell anyone that will listen to get invisaline if you need it you will be very glad you did.
