The doctors are good, when you can get in touch with them. I have been waiting for 3 days for a call back about some tests that my son had. I hope that it isnt urgent! But as a parent, it feels urgent, and the fact that the phone has either been busy or set to the "out of office" message every time I call doesnt help. My wife stopped in and waited an hour hoping to get the results... no, not even an hour of in-person waiting was enough to get attention from a doctor. Are the patients like family here? In the sense that they are often treated with a casual disregard borne of the knowledge that they arent going anywhere else, rather than as valued customers who might just go get another doctor, yes, patients are like family here. My advice to CFP? Staff up! Get someone to answer the phones.

Dr. Belote is fabulous! I absolutely love him. He gets the excellent. He listens and makes me feel valued as a patient. The office staff (except for the one that checks you out) makes me feel that I am not worthy of their time. There need to be separate rating for the Doctors and the staff. Thanks to them I spent my Thanksgiving with severe withdrawals symptom from one of my meds because the nurse would not return my call or talk to me. I tried for nearly a week. I once told Dr. Belote that I couldnt get into see him when I was sick. He was not pleased. I wonder what he will have to say about this. After thought~I exclude Frank from the staff comments. He is fantastic.

There arent many place like Catoctin Family Practice where you have two friendly and brilliant doctors and a warm, wonderful and well educated Nurse Practitioner. I have seen all three of these providers and have been fully satisfied with my care. If I dont get a live person when I call, I leave a message and have always gotten a call back. It might not be in 5 minutes, but usually in a timely manner. I know Dr. Belote has been in business for 35 years and that makes him extremely busy, but Dr. Sawant was a great addition to the practice and I can usually get in to see her whenever I need to. Keep up the great job!!!!

They have built up enough clientele that they dont really need anymore business; in other words they are not hurting so they are not going to go above and beyond for anyone. If you are a new patient you might not ever get used to the way they function their family practice. If you call and are used to instant call backs, keep dreaming. Doctors are great if u can get an appointment. The current staff has been there for a very long time and depending on the type of day they are having or the mood their in, they might not be the friendliest.

I have been a patient here since Dr. Belote first opened the practice. The addition of Dr Sawant has made a great practice even better. Drs. Belote, Sawant and their nurse practitioner, Ellie Hunt, are very knowledgeable and caring. I find the staff to be responsive and compassionate. I highly recommend this practice.

I left 2 voicemail messages 3 days ago, they have still not called me back. Either they are not accepting new patients, or dont have the proper staffing but either way 3 days without a return phone call is not acceptable for any business.

The doctors may be competent but the follow-up is horrible! All phone calls go to voice mail except if you need to make an office appointment. Phone messages, IF returned, take several days to a week for a response.
