I live in downtown Washington so I use the McLean office.......Ive been going to Drs. Levy and DeRose for many many years and wouldnt go anywhere else. They are both wonderful practitioners and individuals and I highly recommend them. Recently, I had a medical emergency of sorts although, due to my own stubbornness, I didnt handle it well. Dr. DeRose had agreed to meet me on a Saturday so there was no one else in the office.........he noticed right away that I wasnt my usual self. I was weak and not feeling well. He immediately took my blood pressure and vital signs and they werent good. He waited and repeated it and it was a little better.....but, still, he wasnt going to let it rest. He talked to me about the need to contact the EMS; I resisted but he kept talking to me so I agreed. They came and took my vital signs although I would not agree to go with them to the hospital. They repeated what Dr. DeRose said about the fact that I shouldnt be driving and I needed to call someone to pick me up....which I did. If I had gone to the hospital with the EMS, I very likely could have avoided a very unpleasant hospital stay shortly thereafter........I was just getting over a serious virus and was very dehydrated.......this was the problem. Dr. DeRose called me every day to check on me after that and I will always be grateful. It isnt the first time he and Dr. Levy have come to my rescue but this may have been the most serious time. They go way beyond the call of duty....and I recommend that anyone follow their advice the first time in order to avoid more serious consequences!! I speak from experience!

After injuring my lower back in my twenties and seeing the lower back issues that my parents lived with, I had just assumed that I was going to have to live with lower back pain. I had gone to several chiropractors before finding Commonhealth, but never found the relief I was looking for. Id even visited neurosurgeons at Georgetown Hospital who told me I had a progressive spinal condition that would get worse over time. I figured I was going to live with lower back pain my whole life, and I was not going to be able to do the things I loved to do like play soccer, ski and play golf. When I moved to McLean, I decided to give chiropractic one more try and I happened to find Commonhealth Chiropractic. Im so glad that I did! I was pain free after about 2 months of therapy from Drs. DeRose and Levy. I continue to be able to do the things I want to do and be as active as I want. I can tell you that chiropractic matters, that not all chiropractors provide equivalent care, and that there are no finer in the business than these two doctors. Im sorry Maxims experience posted 2 years ago was not nearly as good as mine, but my experience has been nothing short of exceptional. I can easily recommend Commonhealth Chiropractic to anybody who has back issues.

I have visited a few chiropractors in my life and the treatment always involved a combination of electrical stimulation, manual adjustment, traction therapy and instrument adjustment. This place only does the latter. Thats it. Granted, there is a body of science supporting use of impulse adjusting instruments, I have my doubts about effectiveness of exclusive instrument treatment. What doesnt help, is that your appointment will likely last no more than 10-15 minutes. Here is what your average appointment will look like: 1. you come into Dr. DeRoses office; 2. Dr. DeRose uses his impulse instrument on you for 2-3 minutes; 3. Dr. DeRose takes you into the room with a roller table and lets you lie on it for 7-10 minutes with a neck expansion pillow or similar attached. THATS IT! Can 2-3 minutes of instrument adjustment couple days a week be the panacea for all your chirporactic needs? You make that call yourself. I chose to find myself a different chiropractor.

As a new patient from the West Coast, I was not sure what to expect from healthcare providers in the DMV. However, my chronic neck problems and recent low back pain that has prevented me from running finally forced me to try my first East Coast chiropractor, Dr. Michael DeRose. I am thrilled about the excellent care I receive from Dr. DeRose. He has an exceptionable bedside manner (always quick to smile and laugh). He listens to all my complaints and never dismisses any of my symptoms. When he determines what the treatment plan will be, he provides a thorough explanation and willingly answers any questions I have. Dr. Michael DeRose is professional and efficient with insurance claims. He keeps health insurance hassle-free. I would highly recommend Dr. Michael DeRose to anyone for chiropractic care. Thank you Dr. Michael DeRose for your dedication to keep me pain free!

Ive been going to this office for chiropractic for years. They are great! The location is convenient (I work in Tysons), the office is very nice, the staff is friendly/helpful, and the docs are excellent. Sometimes my care is more regular (maintenance), and other times I just go in when Im in pain. Other offices Ive been to could sometimes be more pushy or aggressive when it came to how often I needed to be seen. These docs are happy to treat you according to what you want to get out of your care. Its also nice to find an office that participates with my insurance, too. My insurance has changed a few times over the years, and theyve always been in-network on my provider lists. Bottom line: theyve always been able to help me, Ive referred many people there who were equally pleased, Id recommend this office to anyone.

Ive been a patient at Commonhealth Chiropractic in McLean since 1999. Drs. De Rose and Levy have healed me many, many times, not only from chronic sciatica that got in the way of living a normal life, but since then -- from all the times Ive thrown my back out from over-doing it. Ive recommended Commonhealth to many friends and family that have been helped, too. The doctors are thorough, effective and caring. They will make time to see you if youre in pain, and as a patient, I KNOW I will feel better after I see them -- thats always been the case! And Dr. De Rose went the extra mile for me when my insurance company kept making mistakes with my reimbursements. If your back hurts, give them a try -- you wont be disappointed!

Dr. DeRose is very effective, efficient, personable and has helped my daughter and I significantly over the past several months. I highly recommend him. I first came to him with a very sharp pain in my back. My primary doctor had prescribed heavy pain medicines which I hate to take. I remembered speaking to Dr. DeRose earlier - his office is so convenient. He took me in without delay - I felt immediate relief. My daughter was hospitalized for migraines and now is completely off her medicine after a couple of months. His office is a "safe place" for both of us. I greatly appreciate having Dr. DeRose as part of my care network.

After suffering from IT band issues for several years I finally took the advice of a good friend and called the McLean office to schedule my first appointment with Dr. DeRose. My first appointment was very detailed as I was able to go back and explain what MAY HAVE started my pain. I was then put on a schedule of twice weekly and within a month I was seeing fabulous results. He was able to determine what treatments worked for me. He is extremely efficient and always on time and truly concerned for his patients well being.
