I have been going to Dr. Cooks office for 13 years. The staff is absolutely great and personable. Thus far I leave his office with the same amount of teeth that I showed up with and do not need a blood transfusion after having my teeth cleaned, a very big plus. I even look forward to going to my appointment, Michelle keeps me up to date with the latest things that have been going on. You also get the feeling that they really care about what they do and about your health. I would highly recommend giving them a try, no matter who you go to now, you may change your mind as to what dentist office to go and actually not dread going to the dentist. So if you hate going to the dentist or do not have a dentist, give Dr. Cooks office a try, you will not regret it.

absolutely amazing! I had been traumatized several years ago at a dental visit and to even think about trying to go to ANY dentist was overwhelming. I knew I had to go and asked around. A friend strongly recommended this office, so with a bit of fear and called. The receptionist was so kind and understanding, spent time with me on the phone. Then when I arrived I was seen very promptly, before I even had time to get too scared and change my mind. The hygenist was simply top-notch. I can not say enough good about her. She took a thorough history and at every step of the experience made sure that I was ok and comfortable. I am no longer afraid to receive dental care, thanks to this amazing office.

What a group! Talk about being made to feel welcome and like family. Dr. Cook is so easy to like and he explains his procedures expertly in a manner us non-doctors can understand. His wife sure is one lucky lady! Not to mention his work is exceptional! His staff is out of this world as well, from the warm reception from Lynette when you enter the door to the gentle hands of Michelle as she massages your gums with her expert care, you are sure to fall in love with your dental visits just like I have! I have been going to Smithfield Family Dentistry for over a decade and before that to Dr. Ames since 1976. For thirty five years, I have traveled to Smithfield for my dental needs and would not go anywhere else. Dr. Ames picked Dr. Cook to carry on and he picked the best. Professional, thorough and personable, Dr. Cook has surrounded himself with staff that meet his high standards. I look forward to my appointments as I know my teeth will get the best of care.

Dr. Cook and his staff are very courteous and thorough in their work. From checkups to crowns, Lynette will check your coverage and make sure youre squared away. The hygienists are helpful and have you ready to go so that Dr. Cook can properly perform the checkup or the dental procedure. We love Dr. Cook and his entire office. If anyone can make you like coming to the dentist it would be his staff. I have never met a nicer group. They make my girls feel so welcome and explain everything that will happen to them while they are there. They both had teeth pulled a few weeks ago and were nervous but as they both left they said that wasnt bad at all! Thank you!

Dr Cook has looked after my teeth for about 15 years. He helped me establish a goal of keeping all or most of them (I am over 70), and we have been successful. Dr Cook and his staff are thoroughly professional and caring people. While it is certainly difficult to look forward to going to the dentist, Smithfield Family Dentistry makes a visit a pleasant experience.

Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I, like most other people, do not enjoy the dentist but they help make the visit more enjoyable. I just went in for a cleaning but they saw I had a cracked filling so I shall go back to them to get it replaced. That will be the true test to see how well they perform. I will come back with updates.
