I first found Hereford Dental Health when I was looking for information on Invisalign. I had a consultation with Dr. Craig and he helped me understand the process and fees of beginning Invisalign, specifically for my teeth/mouth. After my consultation, I decided that, financially, it would be better for me to wait until another time to begin straightening my teeth with Invisalign. Soon after my consultation, I went to my regular dentist to have a cavity filled. I had never had a cavity filled with him and he used a metal filling. After my primary doctor suggested I have the toxic metal filling removed, I immediately thought of Hereford Dental Health because I was confident they would do a thorough job with the procedure. The reason I was confident was because no detail was missed by their office when I had the consultation when it came to atmosphere, friendly patient service, appointment booking and confirmation, and thorough explanation of pricing. My intuition was correct and I had a more than positive experience having the metal filling removed and having a new filling put it. Because of their advanced technology and resources, Dr. Craig was able to detect that the entire cavity had not been removed by my other dentist and was able to fix all of his work. I had a second cavity for Dr. Craig to fill and he and the technician were so communicative throughout the entire visit, making sure I was comfortable and aware of what they were doing step by step. I was very relaxed (the Smithsonian videos they have playing on the ceiling above your chair dont hurt the experience either :) The best part about having this dental work done was that I have had no sensitivity in either of the teeth that were filled. After my metal filling, I experienced over a month of temperature sensitivity in that tooth, but did not experience even a day of sensitivity after Dr. Craigs work. I would 100% recommend this dental office which is thorough, friendly, skilled, and reasonably priced (even without dental insurance). Thank you for making my experience such a positive one!

Review of Hereford Dental Health I have been using the services of the Hereford Dental Health practice for approximately 17 years. There are some very good reasons for this. 1. Professionalism and Technical ability - Dr. Longenecker has done some significant work on my teeth and the results have been excellent. He thoroughly explains what he is going to do and gives you a “game plan” for the future. In addition, he performs this work taking great care to be sure that you are in no or minimal pain. He takes his time and doesn’t rush through the procedure. The periodontal maintenance (teeth cleaning) done by the hygienists is also done with great care and is very thorough. Donna makes you feel that she is your partner in the care of your teeth. 2. Ethos of the office - from the receptionist on everyone is so very pleasant. It feels like you are visiting good friends. I look forward to reminiscing with friends at the yearly Holiday party. 3. The Physical Facilities – Dr. Longenecker demonstrated his love and respect of the past by purchasing and tastefully renovating a log building and turning it into a dental office while still maintaining its historic character. I am very grateful to my mom for suggesting that I switch to Dr. Longenecker at Hereford Dental Health. After my first appointment, I realized that it was the first time in my life Id ever visited a dentist and left without my mouth feeling traumatized. I was amazed by how gentle Dr. Craig and his team were when cleaning and working on my teeth. The difference compared to my past dentists was significant. That was about 3 years ago and Ive been going to them ever since. Dr Craig and his team are consistently excellent and I always have a terrific experience with them whether Im there for just a cleaning or something more. The office is a very comfortable and warm environment. Everyone is very friendly and personal. I always feel very well cared for when I come in for an appointment. These people have a very gentle touch that is really exceptional in my experience. I can see their hands slow down as they approach my mouth. They are very thorough and have great attention to detail. If I need dental work Dr. Craig explains everything to me in advance and throughout the procedure. He and his team encourage questions and any concerns will be addressed to my complete satisfaction. I cant imagine having a better dental experience than the care I receive at Hereford Dental Health!

I was introduced to Dr. Longenecker by my employer, and have for many years had a terrible fear of dentists. When I was young I never feared the dentist; then one day had a bad experience that led me to distrust and fear the stereotypical situation of the dreaded "dentist chair" (bwahahaha). But when you look at Dr. Longeneckerss smiling face on this website, guess what? THAT IS REALLY WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE! He is just so forthcoming and reassuring, and from the moment you arrive he tells you step by step what he is doing, why he is doing, what to expect, what it will feel like, and when it will be over. So communicative - it allows you to be part of the process instead of feeling like you are at the mercy of someone who isnt telling you everything. And did I mention his staff? They are every bit as cheerful and willing to help in every way as the doctor is. So -- in summary - of course I highly regard and recommend Hereford Dental Health. I no longer fear the dreaded "dentist chair" (bwahahaha)...and I owe it all to Dr. Longenecker and his awesome staff - thanks guys! You all Rock!!

After moving from the Hampstead area 2 years ago, I got tired of driving back to Carroll County for my dentist. I began the search for a new dentist. The first one was not at all what I was looking for. I returned to my old dentist an hour away because I couldnt find one in the Hereford/Monkton area... that is until I found Dr. Longenecker! The office is super nice, state of the art. Every single staff member is as nice and professional as can be. I feel like I am part of a family when I go for my visits. Dr Longenecker takes his time with you and you never feel rushed. I get EXCELLENT care here! Dr Longenecker was able to fix a problem I had with one of my teeth that 2 other dentists couldnt fix. I have already sent 2 of my family members to him and plan on recommending him to many others. I highly recommend Dr Longenecker!

This is one of the most pleasant medical offices of ANY type youll ever find. Its "old-fashioned" in the best way, but also modern in the best way. Heres what I mean... The entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Donna and Dr. Longenecker do an excellent job providing real, personalized care -- its never a rush job to get to the next patient. But at the same time, this office has seamlessly incorporated modern technology into its biz. Appointment alerts can be emailed/texted; flat screen TVs are mounted on the ceiling to entertain during cleanings/procedures; digital photos can be taken and displayed to discuss potential problems with patients; etc. You will not be disappointed!
