Completely disgusted. My son went in for a routine check up and was told he needed a filling. Ok fine. I stated I wanted silver instead oh white. Why? 1- the silver is a cheaper option and 2- the tooth will be falling out soon because he is a kid. So why pay more for something that will be gone soon after. Note that I stated I wanted silver before his appointment to get the filling. After the appointment, I had higher bill than expected. I asked why and they said they used the white filling after I specifically said I wanted silver. Billing said they would speak to the Dr for a possible write off. I get a bill in the mail for the full amount and I call and mention that I did not ask for this service. Why am I paying for something I did not want? They said I can pay for the silver and the balance will be written off. My appointment comes up and its for a cleaning. Then guess what happens? I go to check out and instead of a 100% covered cleaning, there is an amount to be paid. Why, because I didnt get a "normal" cleaning they said. Are you kidding me? So now I am standing there trying to get an explanation as to why I was not told before hand the service I will be receiving. Not only that, but I bring up the issue with my sons filling, and she says "We do not do silver" Then I mentioned I was told silver was an available option, she then changes her story stating "Silver is done on rare occasions". At that moment, I just paid my balance and canceled all future appointments for my family. I am disgusted by the greed of this dentist. You should not have to walk out and have surprises and the end of the visit. This isnt even a money matter to me, its a trust and integrity matter. You trust that you and your family are in good hands. Not that you will be ripped off I will keep my friends and family away from this place Do not go here.

Great customer service, skilled dentists, and personable staff Usually I avoid dental visits, given that it can be painful and inconvenient. However, after finding Dr. Shenk and meeting the staff at McDonogh dental, I actually enjoy my visits! I strongly recommend Dr. Shank for those looking for a new dentist or seeking a second opinion. I also have a number of colleagues who see other dentists within this practice and have similarly positive opinions. You cant go wrong at McDonogh Dental!

My family of 5 have been going here since we moved to Maryland almost 12 years ago. My husband and I see Dr. Fine, and my 3 children generally see Dr. Shenk. They are both excellent dentists. We always get the best care, and they stand by their work. When a crown cracked over a year after I got it, they replaced it free of charge. I highly recommend this practice for your whole family.

McDonogh Dental Associates has excellent dentists and support staff. June is it the hygenist that I always go to and she is excellent. If I have a problem and my own dentist is not available, I am comfortable seeing any of the other dentists in the practice. The location is convenient and they have office hours from early morning to evening. I highly recommend this dental practice.
