Dr. Pavilack may not be warm and fuzzy but there are definite times you need a doctor who is so self-assured he or she may come across as rude. These seemingly uncaring doctors do not second guess their decisions (are not wishy washy with their diagnosis and treatment plan.) This is a trait that is especially important when you need a delicate procedure or when you are being operated on. These doctors/surgeons are some of the very best - they may have horrible bedside/patient-side manner, BUT they have EXCELLENT outcomes. That said, I have had a terrible problem with my eyes and I had been referred to another large practice. The doctor was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but he was not aggressive in diagnosing and treating the problem. After 6 weeks of severe pain my optometrist said he was going to send me to the best doctor in the area, and picked up the phone and called Dr. Pavilacks office. Dr. Pavilack was able to fit me in that afternoon, he took aggressive action which provided almost immediate relief and although things arent perfect yet, I feel very confident that I am in the hands of somebody who will make the very best medical decision for me. I would highly recommend him.

The visit was horrid.Dr.Mark A Pavilack was very aggressive in a nice nasty more so nasty way. This Man or should I say uncaring nasty piece of (Man) treated myself and my daughter like trash.If you are African American or Hispanic or Lord forbid if your insurance is Medicaid I suggest you stay clear of this uncarring person

I also saw Dr Pavilak and was not concerned with his degree of warmth or charm as much as the more important aspect of his proficiency as a corneal specialist and ability to improve the health of my eyes which i feel he did. Overall I was satisfied with his analysis, treatment, and follow up.
