This may be the last time I go there. I brought my cat in to be euthanized. They badgered me for updated info on me even though I have no other pets & paid cash for the visit. Then drilled me about my cats history when we were about to put her to sleep - with glaring eyes & comments that actually had me wonder if they felt Id been abusing my cat Ive had for 11-12 years & held & cared for so intensely when she was going through renal failure & so many other physical issues. I actually had fear they were going to call the police or something on me!! It was INSANE behavior for putting my beloved cat to sleep!! They didnt listen to me when they took her to insert catheters in her veins when I told them how to hold her, insisting SHE was putting herself (BAD hip!) into that position. THIS WAS HOW I GOT TO SPEND THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF HER LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go somewhere else... Also, they have propaganda all over the walls telling you there is no proof organic or raw food is good for your pets.

UPDATE: Ive talked to the vet (instead of just office staff) ~ they are making things right, acknowledged that their communication needs to improve. Ill give them another chance.....mistakes happen ~ MY ORIGINAL RANT: Lousy service for standard vet care (Great emergency services). I dropped my cat off at 8:30 this morning for standard teeth cleaning, expecting to pick him up on the way home from work. After not hearing from them all day, I call only to find out that they finished the procedure AT 6PM AND I CANT PICK HIM UP UNTIL 10PM - MAYBE! Believe me, the last thing I want to do is take him home too early....hes 20 years old! Of course, they offer to keep him overnight. TOTALLY NOT THE POINT ~ hes old, doesnt like being at the vet anyway, hasnt eaten since last night because hes going under anesthesia....and they didnt give me a clue that hes going to be sitting in a cage all day....do they think its convenient for me to pick him up at 10pm? UNBELIEVABLE.

I would like to make a special thanks to Dr. Laura Ahlgrim, VCA Five Corners vet, for her impeccable, honest and caring handling of our dog and me as a customer. Our dog, Ripley, was clearly suffocating when we took her to the hospital in the middle of the night. We found out that her heart is 4X bigger than normal and due to her heart condition, her lungs are filling up with fluid, thus causing her not being able to get enough oxygen. We just went to another vet a month and a half ago, and her condition was completely missed by them. Here, they took care of her and us as well to make it as easy as possible to let her go. Unfortunately, we got here too late to have any possibility of recovery. The vet was very helpful and patient. She got a blanket for us so we can spend some time with Ripley. She helped us through the entire process.Thank you for getting us through this rough times. Ripley is now in doggy heaven enjoying all the treats she can get her paw on.

I took my beloved dog of 12 years here during an emergency illness. After multiple visits and tests in a short period of time, no one could figure out what was wrong. She took a bad turn and we brought her in and she died soon after. The front counter person was extermelly aloof and rude. We were in a frantic state and she would not let us go back and see her as she died. Then she wanted to dispute the bill immediately after it was over. I thought I had dealt with all this and then a week later the VCA left a voice message on my phone. They called to see how my dog was doing! This made me furious. They dont have the decency to update their records, let alone send a sympathy card. After relaying this story to a co-worker, he mentioned that he had a similar emergency incident with his cat. If you have an emergency, think twice before coming here.

I personally love this office. I originally chose them because of their location, but even after moving somewhere inconvenient to get there, I keep coming back. I have dealt with Dr.s Baker, Harris, La-Jeunesse, and Martinez, and they have all been great! As with any vet the services can get pricey, but Ive never found a cheaper vet either. The vets are all very caring about my cat, and they even call to check in on him following treatments. He has had an unlucky streak lately with two emergencies in six months, and I have been extremely satisfied with the quality of care they provided him. I also love that they have a 24 hour emergency service, meaning you can call them any time you have questions or need to make or cancel an appointment. Their regular office hours are convenient too. Id definitely recommend this office!

Every time I call for a simple but of advice, they tell me I need to bring the dog in to see him first, do xrays, etc. Last time, my dog ate some broken glass (a ceramic cup shattered) and I called to see what I could do right then for him. It wasnt possible for me to drive up right then, and so they refused to give me any info. Funny thing is, I called another 24 hour vet after them, and they told me what to watch for, and put my mind at great ease. This place is all about money. They feel like a car repair place, telling you 50 things you "need" to do, just to jack up the price. I only use them because I brought him there once and so my dogs files are there, plus, they are 24 hours. Maybe Ill just suck it up and start somewhere new, to avoid this place all together.

While I agree the emergency clinic can be expensive, I dont believe it is out of line. We have had two emergency situations that were handled professionally and with expertise that leads me to give them my complete trust. In one situation, our lab as a puppy had chewed on lava rocks which turned to a consistency close to cement in her stomach and they saved her life with their quick action. On another occassion (more recently) , the same loveable lab developed a torsion of the stomach and they knew immediately how to treat this. They have since performed a gastropexy surgery to make stomach torsions and bloat far less of a concern. I will gladly pay a higher price for the state of the art equipment and knowledgeable doctors. Thanks Five Corners!

Worst Vet I Have ever been too. The assistants are rude. I could have learned more from googleing what was wrong with my dog and it would have cost me a lot less. In fact they gave me a number to call because they didnt know if licking flea protection off of another dog could make him sick. Then told me that this was a rare question to ask. I worked at Petsmart and on many occasions saw pets brought into the vet after doing so. Biggest waste of time and money. This Vet is the reason why people dont go to the doctor anymore and use WebMD instead.

Our 3 1/2 year old Boxer had kidney disease. She went down hill rapidly on December 22. Our vet made an appointment for her the day after christmas to check her status. On Christmas morning she couldnt move and it was clear she was ready to go. We called then drove to Five Corners in Burien. The people we encountered were kind, gentle, and professional. The situation was not what anyone would want to be in, but Five Corners made it more manageable. I appreciate they way they treated our situation and would return for emergency pet care.
