I was very cautious in researching a vet who preformed stem cell therapy in my area as my long time vet of 30 years did not. "This was not my first dog nor my first rodeo". I had been researching the procedure for months, grilled VetStem and MediVet before deciding to do it. I was given four referrals in my area who had done the procedure then went on line and researched all of the information I could on those veterinary clinics. This was my first choice to visit. My dog and I went in for a new patient exam which was very reasonably priced. We discussed ALL of the procedures, costs and concerns about anesthesia twice (x-rays/stem cell harvest and then stem cell injections into the joints) as well as diet, brand of food, supplements, meds, daily activities and exercise. We were also shown the entire facility. I believe they realized my kid was not going anywhere or doing anything unless every stone was overturned. This facility was clean, bright and everyone was not only very positive but genuinely caring. Having a BIG (arthritic) Newfoundland, getting him to and from can be time consuming, he gets hot and slobbery and he does not like small rooms. They had a big dog room where he felt comfortable. They even brought in a rubber backed carpet to help him with the tile floors. Their pricing followed suit to other estimates, no mystery there at all. Many of the tests could be done in house so no waiting (lots of latest technology). Dr. Johnson was the one who provided the most positive reinforcement to me and honestly stated, this is what well do, how well do it and there is no guarantee with the stem cells. All costs/estimates were upfront. It was the confidence, honesty, caring and plain talk I got from Dr. Johnson and staff that led me to realize this was the right place (search over). Trust me, they spent a lot of time before, during and after the whole procedure. In the end, I chose this place by what I saw, heard and felt not by a bunch of petty reviews. Although I do believe in reviews just not blind faith. This place is fabulous and so is the staff. Over the years I have been to other vets, whether for my parrots, koi, bunny or dog emergencies and you can tell which care and which merely run a company. By far, Dr. Johnson is one of the best. As a business owner myself, you pay for inventory that comes in the door and in turn you have to charge a client for those items. It is a business not a charity. If you care, it shows. It is important to patronize the good guys and keep em in business! BTW the stem cells worked! I have been very happy with their level of expertise, service and pricing since the stem cell therapy and cannot imagine going anywhere else.

Just wanted to give you all a quick update. So i used to take my dogs to see Dr. Peterson at NW animal clinic. I was greeted when i walked in by a very nice lady who got Mikas weight. then i got to see the assistant nurse before the doctor. they ran tests on Mika and she had inflamed ear drum and that if i didnt bring her in it would of turned into a ear infection. The stuff she gave me she said had no side affects and no risk what so ever, then she left. i mentioned to the assistant nurse Danielle that Nanook was showing kind of same problem and that i might try it on him.. well ladies and gents, this is when sh** went south. i got into a huge argument with this lady, who didnt smile one time, greet Mika in anyway shape or form then had the audacity to tell me nto to do it because they havent diagnosed Nanook.. First off.. i could care less what you tell me i can or cannot do, and if the DR said this was 100% safe and it doesnt work on Nanook, well i can scratch that off the list. so... This Danielle lady is going to have a pretty bad day at work today, because I called her mngr this morning, and let them know what had happened. Hey Danielle please learn some social skills. because Ive spent 1000s of dollars at this vet, never had 1 complaint except they are a little pricey but the quality of service was worth it. You will never see me or my dogs again NW animal hospital. Bet on that.

I have a sweet macaw that was rescued and brought to me that had been in very terrible surroundings. A very sweet but scared bird. I had been inquiring about finding an avian vet for a few months, and when it came down to my concerns, I looked online and found NW Animal Care and that they took care of birds.I was given an appointment right away and everyone was so good and kind. The environment was very soothing, staff was very accommodating and I met Dr. Johnson. I was impressed with him asking me to allow my bird to be handled. Paulie took it very well. He was thoroughly checked out and my concerns were answered. Paulie had been in abusive surroundings. I am grateful to Dr. Johnson. I wanted more thorough and Dr. Johnson took care of that for me. Paulie is now safe and happy, healthy and more at peace. I am one who keeps the same person as my vet for my lifetime. Paulie now has that. I like the family feel of a good Dr to aid in the well-being of my pets throughout their lifetime. I would highly recommend Dr. Johnson to those who have birds. Hes very knowledgeable in the field, and I am grateful to him and his staff. His business is the reflection of how much he cares for animals, and his actions truly show that. Thank you so much and Paulie and I will be back next year! This review is from Polly Gilyeat/ Hines.

Just wanted to tell of our great experience at Northwest Animal Care. Dr. Nemeth was so good with our little pug. He has some eye issues and of course the long ear canal problems, but the information I got about keeping the ears clean was so helpful. Even I can do this at home. The eye medicine is a little harder to apply, but working together, we get those drops in and I can see a big difference. Each person I encounter, from the ladies at the front desk, and getting weighed on the scale, when Squire would rather see who else is coming in the front door, is wonderful. I notice how clean everything is, there is no sour smell anywhere. Cleanliness shows their committment to the quality of their service. We just love the staff and appreciate all their concern when we have been there. You can tell they love animals, but have a great raport with we people as well. We have used the boarding on several occasions, for our Pug and our Parrot. I have heard from Molly that she loves our bird and they spend time together on her breaks. Cabo is a real sweetheart, so I am glad he gets such personnal time with his new friend. Thanks to all the staff and friends at Northwest Animal Care who make us feel at home when we are there and our pets are pampered when they are there and we are away.

I had been going to this vet clinic for almost 3 years and the service had been good. However, on January 25, 2013 I called because the muzzle of my 14 mo. old puppy was swollen and the swelling was moving to the eyes and I needed to find out how much childrens benadryl I should give her. I was told that my message would be given to Dr. Nemeth and they would call me back. 3 hours later and no call, so I called them. The person that answered that time didnt know anything that was going on because she had been spending her time in boarding. I was in a hurry and was ill myself and trying to get to the doctors office. Therefore, I was more than a little inpatient and my voice got loud and it got louder because the person at the other end just didnt seem to care that I had a puppy who face was swollen and her eyes were slits. I just wanted to know how much benadryl to give her. I never did receive this information. Luckily, all my FB friends are dog people and mostly for my breed (Clumber Spaniels) and I posted the situation and got an immediate answer and quickly gave the benadryl to my puppy. By Sunday the swelling was gone except for a little bit around the eyes and she is now all better. But this wasnt due to any help I got from NW Animal Care. I am switching vets.
